  1. Uh of course ppl get hit at zebra crossings. That is where the majority of foot crossings is. Pedestrians try and beat the light just as much as drivers do. That does not mean that crossing anywhere on the road is not still way more dangerous
  2. There's never a shortage of chumps it seems. What did he expect was going to happen when he went to confront LB on beach road ?
  3. If there's no crosswalk then you have to find one. And if Thai's are always on their phone like you say, then its an even bigger reason to find a crosswalk.
  4. It wasn't the drivers fault last time either. This driver had slightly more time than the previous one actually. And yes, I know that driver was charged. Since most of you think the Thai police always do the opposite of the right thing , that should speak volumes.
  5. This is a ridiculous take. Saying that it is just as dangerous to pick any spot in the road to run across as it is a crosswalk. And "the image" bs again. Its the 3rd world. Everyone knows it. Everyone knows that crossing the road in Thailand isn't the same as Switzerland.
  6. Countries buy weapons from the US to appease the US and hope it leaves them alone. And doesn't fund too many violent and bloody coups and protests in the country. It is a shakedown.
  7. Chicken little ? I am going to Mexico in a matter of weeks. I know most ppl don't know this because its not on CNN, but the CIA is fully invested in arming cartels over each other and the usual business of making bad things worse.
  8. For those who don't know , the CIA funds and arms competing cartels. The cartels themselves say it https://www.aljazeera.com/features/2012/7/24/mexican-official-cia-manages-drug-trade
  9. I'll be going to Mexico a lot more now. The violence usually scares away the midwit families and old people. And prices fall. I went last time in 2012 when there was violence in Mazatlan. I drove through a cartel checkpoint with a rented Jeep.
  10. Canadians on the rooftops of hotels are showing fires being lit completely randomly with no police or army or cartel members to be seen. Silent streets with a bunch of random fires
  11. Ah yes. Among all the tourism decline stories, the one that puts it in a positive light means Thailand is going to have too much tourists! and that's bad !
  12. Whatever man. What did you do in your younger days ? Surely not riding completely sober with a helmet every time.
  13. And.... what say you Thailand tourism doom merchants ? There's probably lots of happy young mongers too who are just getting into the hobby.
  14. There's minimal actual street fighting. A bunch of fires were set. I am pretty confident that this is another CIA psyop but that is strictly my opinion. Paid goons sent out to set fires and make it look like mad max on the news. Stoke some more culture warfare. Divert the worlds attention from the middle east for maximum surprise. This has poured gasoline on the culture war in Canada. All the conservative midwits are getting high and mighty about "the libs" vacationing in Mexico. I am so sick of this culture war BS
  15. Har har no. The only thing she did wrong was not boil the water first
  16. Giving the white man a bad name again. Ban the idiot !
  17. And yet he's the most on brand president of the USA ever.
  18. Marin doesn't have the slightest clue what he is talking about though
  19. NEVER get involved with fights. Never try and break them up. If you seen the mental cases fighting, get your taxi the hell out of there asap. Of course it is their fault but you have no way of getting money out of them.
  20. Damn. Sounds like a good time. That would be a hoot
  21. Bull. These grubby drunken louts lose track of time and forget how much they are drinking. And then have a hissy fit when it's time to pay.
  22. It is a pretty standard practice in the developing world. That's how street justice works. This Western idea that the criminal should square up with one person and have a "fair" fight is just stupid.
  23. Judging by the fact that you are perusing all the prostitution hotspots and reporting on it, that you are supporting it also.
  24. I love the way Thais drive. It puts a smile on my face to see that the human spirit hasn't been hammered out of them yet by regulations and nonsense.
