  1. Our son, now 15, studied @ private IEP from kindergarten. That plus studying French @ Alliance Francaise. Result: he speaks fluently 3 languages (English, French, Thai). BTW, it didn’t harm that we speak these languages at home!
  2. +1 I use this PLC (Powerline Communication) technology to link the main TV to the master router (mesh network) where a large HDD is connected. It works perfectly.
  3. I had the sticker stolen from my scooter while at McDo (Petkasem Rd, Bangkok, day time). I had to go the local police station and then to the DLT Now, I keep the sticker with my papers
  4. Did you try Siam Paragon ?
  5. Are you serious? 1. Usually you don't wear sunglasses at night... 2. This sunvisor can be up or down...
  6. You don't need to wear sunglasses while riding if you wear the right helmet... There are lots of helmets with sun visors (modular or full face). I use a Caberg modular, a five-star helmet according to https://sharp.dft.gov.uk/
  7. For the same price (THB100K) as Nmax / PCX you can get a 300cc scooter: GPX DZ3. GPX DZ3 For THB45K more, you can get a Zontes 350cc (more powerful and much cheaper than a Forza, Xmax etc.) Zontes 350D BTW, the Zontes 368 series were released, with an interesting 368G... Zontes 368G
  8. Do you know there's a museum in Bangkok called Anti Corruption Museum? May I propose that the Thaksin's family get the burned bus set up at the front of the building?
  9. It's quite easy for a foreigner to get credit cards in Thailand. There are 3 scenarios: 1. You don't have a work permit and you don't have money in the bank : no credit card. 2. You don't have a work permit but you get some money in the bank : you can apply for a "secured credit card". 3. You have a work permit : you can apply for a credit card Years ago, I was in the scenario # 2 and I got a secured credit card. When I decided to be based in Thailand (with a TH work permit), I applied for a credit card and got it! PS: When I was based, as a foreigner, in Czech Republic, Ireland, Kenya, UK, the rules were quite similar: you have a job then you can apply for and get a credit card
  10. I switch the TV on > Select the source : Ext HDD > Go to folders > Click on the film I want to watch That's it !
  11. I use another simple "network design" Our LG TV is connected to the wifi router through a couple of powerline adaptors Powerline Technology A large WD hard disk, with all the media files (films, TV programs, etc.), is connected to the Wifi router (USB connection).
  12. Shayman, I can share with you a bit of our background: Eighteen months before the end of his junior high school curriculum, our son started to go to a tutorial school (5 hours every Sunday, focused on Maths and Science). Then, in March 2024, he took 2 entrance exams: Triam Udom Suksa School and Satit Prasarnmit Demonstration School. He got both and chose to join Triam Udom Suksa School Science & Maths. The tutorial school he went to : https://www.oplus-school.com/ Can I say this TS was good? I think so, it did fit the purpose. I invite you to contact / visit them.
  13. Did you understand what I wrote? I don't think so... Did you have a look @ the stats? I don't think so...
  14. Speed is not the main factor for road accidents, far of... Or, how could you explain that Germany has much less road fatalities per million of inhabitants than France (for example), knowing that in Germany many autobahns have no speed limits under normal conditions? I used to drive my Porsche 911 a lot in Europe and specially in Germany... EU Road Safety Statistics
