Did mine today. Took all day to get it approved, so I was getting a little bit nervous; but got the OK e-mail at 16:00.
-
Amazing final result!
Replaced the odd shaped metal 3 way junction which was in bad condition as well as the hole, and replaced three rubber hoses and the radiator cap.
There was no water in the oil, and no oil in the water
No sign of gases entering the cooling water.
I reckon I must have driven that car dry of water about 20 minutes non stop. Seems impossible.
The oil feels normal no sign of burning.
I got away with a relative pittance whereas if the head had warped or even just a blown head gasket or god knows what else seizing it could have been a rally painful bill and time waste.
Instead I had the car back to drive by teatime today and it is just like normal.
TIP:
A friend suggested that being in the situation of having a leak and refilling to get somewhere DON'T put the filler cap on as it will pressurise the water and blow it out faster.
Makes sense.
It can also blow the water out of the rad with no cap...
PS. If the 3 way thingy was corroded it is because it did not have "anti-freeze" or not enough in the system... It is very important to have the stuff in to stop alloy corrosion...
Agreed this has made me think about water additive I'm going to check on it.
At the moment, I have to wait 2 month for a new Radiator for my 16 year old car. It's completely clogged up.
It cost 13,000 Baht and I regret not having used an additive to keep rust and dirt away.

I do not understand the venom thrown at people who decide to us an agent. Things in life change the place you eat, your favorite noodle joint and how extensions and 90 day reports are handled. The way a few talk the old immagration office was just fantastic and the new office is hell. I got in line at the old office around 5am a few times and still had to come back in the afternoon see an officer. If and when the on line Q comes back I think the moaning and groaning will cease. By theway it is no ones business if I decide to use an agent or as someone commited a Q jumper. Get over itfolks at present it is a pain to get an extension of stay and a 90day report, all of the moaning and groaning, letters to the Bangkok Post, and the consulate havn't changed it much or helped anyons pain
You are absolutely correct. I have lived in Chiang Mai for 16 years and it used to be a nice and easy visit to Immigration.
First with marriage extension and later with retirement.
Later I enjoyed the online queue system. You booked a time and was serviced right on time.
That has all changed; and last year I used an agent, and I will use it again this year!.

I have never before tasted any of the Cheers beers, but tried the Riceberry today.
Very good and smooth taste. I like it and will also try the other ones.

Have a look on priceza.com and there is what looks like a slightly older model in Cdiscount (BigC online cdiscount.co.th) at 72K Baht. Sorry link paste not working, the model is ESAM6620.
Cheers
That's cheaper than Central. There it cost 76,500 Baht.

Have you been to Central/Robinson?.
They have a good selection of DeLonghi.

I have the same problem with one of my computer monitors and it's connected to a UPS.
It's done that for years and I just live with it.

I would have expected a guarantee on the tyre inflator at that price.
I think that "no warranty" is a Google translation for "useless piece of cheap Chinese crap that wont last a month".
Hint: before buying any item in Thailand, check to see if Amazon UK sell it. If they do it will probably last for at least a year.
You are both right, and it is strange; because it has "legal" Thai import stickers on it, so Michelin should offer the warranty.
I agree with 'IMHO': It works so good, that I'm willing to take the risk.
PS! I have before found stuff I like, on Amazon UK; but the postage was more than the value of the items.

Sounds to cheap. Are you sure it's original?. Does it have 3M and a code printed on the film?.
Yes, there is 3M code printed on the film . I don't know if the glare ad reflection issues are related to the poor quality or the 60 % of the film, wich is too dark.
My wife has 3M (60%) on the front window. She loves it, and I hate it; but after dark, the view is still clear, but to dark for me.
I only have 15 cm film on the top of the window in my car.

If the tank was almost empty, it could be dirt from the fuel tank. Especially on an old car.
Check the fuel filter (and battery). Sometimes multiple problems happens at the same time.

I found them "by accident" and bought both. (The search function at Lazada works in mysteries ways!.)
Both items works perfect. The Inflator is automatic and not as noisy as the cheap ones.

Get any fan and connect it to a UPS.
I have tried that. The fan works, but make noise like a defect transformer.

Thank you 'canthai55'.
I had my Nissan NV (also running LGP) for service today and also changed the spark plugs to NGK G-Power Plug.
The improvement is, as you wrote: More stable idle and more power.
Before; idle was between 850 and 950 rpm. Now it's (completely) steady at 900 rpm.
For the power; I drove in 3. gear at 1,500 rpm; then did the "pedal to the metal" and there was definitely an improvement in torque.

The plain unfiltered nasty camels? Or the full range?
The normal filtered ones and the menthol.

A pleasant surprise today at my local Mini-mart.
Now they have Camel cigarettes; 98 Baht.
I've been waiting many years for that!.

Hi' all. I'm the OP.
My description of the topic may not have been clear. It was supposed to be about the deal and not the car.
The car is for my daughter. She leaned to drive in a Yaris and she likes it (and so do I). That's it!.
But; I like to widen my question. Has anyone recently bought any new vehicle and what deal did you get?.
It might be of interest to people planning to buy a new car or pickup.
-
We are thinking about buying a Yaris and the wife went (alone) to Toyota to check:
For the J model (519,000 Baht) they will give 20,000 Baht discount (only to the end of this month)
Furthermore they give 1 year 1.Class insurance, all expenses for registration and license plate, film on windows, full tank of gasoline.
There are some more stuff, but my wife can not remember it, and can not read it on the photocopy, she got of the paper.
With a loose calculation, they will give 45,000 Baht worth, and that sounds good.
My question is then: did anyone else get the same deal, or better, on a Yaris or similar car?.
PS!. I have the last week looked at used cars, but as people have written here on TV before; the prices a way to high.
PPS! I am in Chiang Mai.

Contact the local Tessaban office.
That's the office where you go to get approval for new buildings or extensions.

Was at ProAuto, for the first time, yesterday.
New 'tie end rod's', alignment, wheel balancing, and check/adjust brakes.
Very happy about the service and repairs.

Very good; but it's still extremely slow compared to my online report done 08/03/2016:
- Did the application and send it 09:59. E-mail (with approval) received 10:11. Total 12 minutes. Very good.

I had my LPG system inspected last month and as 'canthai' writes, it's only every 5 years for LPG systems.
I just brought the car to my LPG Installation Shop (with the blue book) and they went away with it. Came back 1 hour later with Certificate. Price 800 Baht.
You get the original certificate and a copy, plus a sticker to place on the car window.
You give the original, when you pay for road tax. They also want to see the copy, but give that back to you.
If your Blue book is at the finance company, I don't know how you can get the inspection done. They should do it?

If you have not bought anything yet, you should consider this one:
http://www.lazada.co.th/android-smart-box-cs918-q7-premium-rk3188-quad-core-android-tvbox-air-mouse-gyro-6-axis-4523289.html
I bought it 3 months ago and are very happy about it.
My requirements were Quad Core processor, 2GB Ram, WiFi and cheap. This one matched all of them.
You need the 'Air Mouse", because it's very tedious to use the Remote.
