I finally got a good car video camera: Transcend DrivePro 100 (3,500 Baht at Lazada).
Very good video quality. The build quality is also very good.
I have earlier used about 4,000 Baht on (3) cheaper models and they were all crap.
You get what you pay for; as I have found out the hard way.
-
If you buy it and live in Chiang Mai, I know a very good Benz mechanic.
He's a specialist in the old models.
-
lj cm if you buy a car registered elsewhere than Chiang Mai then if they are the same as khon kaen and I assume they are you will not be able to change name in blue book there unless you change the plates as well.
That is OK; as long as it can all be done in Chiang Mai, so I don't have to go to the office in Bangkok.
I would also prefer to have CM plates.
-
Thank you for the information.
I am planning to buy a (used) car in Bangkok, but thought I could do all the paperwork here in Chiang Mai.
I assume; if you get the Blue book, there are no loans in the car!?.

Savings accounts always came with pass books. If you keep the book she can always claim she lost it and get a new one, so basically you can't really stop her from withdrawing getting cash out. The only way is of the bank let's you sign the book (using your signature as if it's hers)but unless you have a friend working at the back I can't see that happens. This easy she'll have to try forging your signature of she wants cash, but as it's her account and so"her" signature it's not really a forgery..
all on all, as you say she always pays back so I guess she is trust worthy
To get a new pass book, you need to report it lost to the police and get a report, before the bank will give you a new book.
Is the partner willing to go that far?

I have an old Post about ATV's:

Read the info from 'canuckamuck' about tire pressure.

Looks good. I've been looking at this one (also 150cc):
It cost 57.000 Baht.
Only a 250cc of a different brand had nice rims (like yours).
We have land to drive on; and the police accepts driving locally in the village.
The 100 baht fine from the filth isn't the issue, the problem is if you have an accident you are uninsured which could be rather risky and costly
That is correct!.
I wonder; if the situation will be the same, when you have a motorbike with sidecar, which is actually illegal.

I am planning to buy one, but has only seen the brand L & P.
How much did yours cost and can you post a picture of it?
-
Can you obtain this on a holiday visa?
Yes; and you can get a 1 year driving license on Tourist Visa.
-
look familiar?
Yes; it does. But even before Internet, everyone was stealing ideas.
Where would MS be, if it wasn't for IBM and Apple!?
-
It says 'Copyright 2002-2015 Thai Visa', so it must be made specifically for Thai Visa.
-
I could just write to Admin; but I like to make it public.
As an old (Mainframe) Online- and Database-Administrator, I am very impressed with the Thai Visa System.
It must have taken some really professionals long time to make; or did you buy it?.
I would like to see the Database diagram. This alone must be pretty complicated.
However; how users use the system is a completely different story!.

Read my old post. Don't bother to read the replies; they are all about paying or not (and one grumpy old man complaining about the Font.)
http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/752801-residence-certificate-in-chiang-mai/
Just go there in the afternoon and you can get it next day between 13:00 and 16:00.
You need proof of residence and lease contract or any bill in your name will do.
You need two (original) Residence Certificates, so bring 4 pictures.
The price is between 0 and 500 Baht per Certificate. If you want them the next day, the price is 500.

I saw a Nissan Queen Cap (automatic gear) for sale today. It's 15 years old and the price is 135,000 Baht.
It looks nice both inside and outside, but it has driven 330,000 km.
I asked if the engine and gearbox had been renovated, but she did not understand the question.
The dealer is on third ring road, and I think it's worth to try it out. At least for reference; and if interested, offer max. 110,000 Baht.
Here is a picture of the car and GPS coordinates of the dealer:

If your wife want a divorce, there is only one thing to do: Go out and celebrate!!!

PS! After finishing the video, give the papers to the staff at desk 27/28 and only go to the Thai classroom, if they tell you so.
-
I was there two days ago (CM) at 1 o'clock and had to do the test's.
After watching the video, I had to go to the Thai classroom and wait for them to finish.
I did notice some people "sneaking in" at around 4 o'clock and just go to counter 27/28 and present their papers.
The staff then sent them directly to the Information Desk for a Queue number to pay and get the new license.
It looks like a good trick; worth a try?.
-
I got rid of it (Chrome) by 'Clear browsing data...'.
-
Just bring two copies of everything.
Also two original Residence Certificates.
-
I can imagine, only the top boss has authority to sign, so that's why they have to send the passports to the old office.
-
I think; that's a very good idea.

The OP asked a question and two people answered it. The rest of the replies, were a waste (of space).
Lets say; a new box cost 500 Baht and the old one can be repaired for 100 Baht. Is it then not smarter to have it repaired?
