You say this is not a unique story , but it's quite unique really , I mean firstly he's 41 and lived in thailand 15 years so he was 26 when he went there , so he's contributions into the state would have been very low ( Nat insurance etc ) . It looks like he's made one bad decision after another time and time again , and not though bad luck either , so under the circumstances I would say , tough . 

Im all for ex pats etc being treated better than an illegal , or a supposed asylum seeker . Me for example ! , I waited until I got to 55 before I left for the LOS , and paid my dues for 39 years . Hopefully I dont make any bad decisions, like buying into bars etc , I have a budget and try and stick to it , you can't stop bad luck , I don't wish to return but I'd hope if I had to the state may be able to assist in some way . And it will only be through illness I'd imagine if I did .

I must admit I went down to 'cozy beach ' yesterday, normally quite clean in comparison with the main Pattaya beach .... it was in a real mess , besides hundreds of jelly fish on the beach too .. the sun bed guy said , it's because a storm at sea the night before that had washed up all the plastic , glass , rubbish etc ....oh I said , is somebody going to try and clean it up ? ... he's response .. " hahahaha " and walked away . ( after me giving 50bht for the bed ) .

My I-O NON yearly extension( long stay ' pension ' )  is due on 12 th October 

the last time I went to immigration for my 90 day reporting , the officer very kindly changed the date on my next 90 day to the same date as my yearly extension, says " now you can do both together " .. I said ok thanks , my question is , I know I can do my 90 days up to 7 days earlier , but when can I do my yearly extension, can that be done earlier too as I need to be somewhere on this date , ( I know I will need to report this too ) .

The numbers go up , but they ( namely Chinese and Indians ) don't spend . its obvious to me that they are trying to stretch the vendors to breaking point and in doing so helping to keep the beach clean ( in their minds ) . 

But what has already has been pointed out , people will just nip over the road and get from 7-11 . I used to buy my water ( aura ) is the only one I like and they never sell on the beach , if I ever went down there which was very rare. 

I live in Patts ( well pratunmak actually ) . I go for a run along the Pattaya beach road most morning , very early .. just about missing the surge of Chinese turning up to clamber onto the speed boats and hundreds of coaches turning up ... the beach has never NEVER looked nice in the 26 years I've been coming / living here . I once went for a swim when the tide was in about 6-7 years ago ,Christmas time .. I swallowed a mouth full ... yes ofcourse the taste was disgusting, and about 4/5 hours later I was as sick as a dog , stomach etc ... this lasted about 3weeks completely ruined Christmas ... I still think it was cholera... ( although I know you die from that ) ... survived , but never never to swim in it again . 

Nothing in Pattaya ..little bit of rain Thursday night .

Hunting ? ... shouldn't be to difficult should it .. they've been ID'd on video . Do they wear any other clothes except their ' outlaw ' jackets , or are they suddenly dressing up like normal people being gutless , plus I thought the bar owner said they are all related to a bar round the corner .... nothing will happen ... 

Yet they build and build and build more condos etc , all ofcourse need facilities for waste disposal..... 

Just get the ferry ( every 30 min ) over to Koh Larn , 5 lovely beaches .. 

i live on PRATUMNAK , cosy beach is ok  ( or coztski) as I call it , 98% Russian , which are fine . 

But yes , pattaya Beach , god knows why they don't do something, because the actual town/ city .. is as busy as ever , and they are still knocking up condos left right and centre .

Hang on ... show their ID  - and then give a opinion which ' might ' go against the current regimes thoughts ,  I don't think so . 

I've travelled as I'm sure most have on here , all over Thailand , 

pattaya is the biggest money making Town/ city .. other than BKK , and I'm sure in turnover  Patts runs that pretty close too ... really do they think , making it pro family friendly , it will continue to coin it in ? ... they must do I guess ... thing is it won't be only shifting out the ladies , massage ( both types ) ,tattooists , and a couple of dozen 7-11s , the infrastructure needs really upgrading , the beach isn't family friendly , neither are the roads or pavement , for family's .... only yesterday walking around in pratamak Hill , a Russian family I assumed , tipped her baby's pushchair over with the pavement being all over the show .. the baby was bleeding , cut head it looked like , I don't know how serious  ... 

Cambodia will be rubbing its hands ....

yes there are hordes of Chinese turning up in coach after coach and walking up to see the big Buddha.... what do they spend ? .... nothing ......., traffic is horrendous, roads are now in a shocking state , pollution  Forgetaboutit ! , it's true that up here the residents are mainly Russian , but being low Season the ' cosy beach ' which is normally quite crowded ( with Russians ) is nearly deserted this time of year , sure the weather hasn't been to good of late , but regardless there's nobody ' flocking ' or spending here .... 

and they are still building about 4-5 new condo blocks that will with about 3-4 already built remain empty .

I transferred via Santander and often do as suggested , and normally within 24 hours I get an sms message telling me it's been transferred into my bkk account here ...

But I forgot it was good Friday last week , and transferred £20,000 . It's Tuesday now nothing , I contacted via message to Santander who said it would go automatic ..

I'm guessing / hoping the Easter weekend has delayed and I have nothing to worry about ... But I'm worried

As I say normally no problem , but how do I contact bkk bank in London ? ..

Or do I wait as I should get an sms by weds , thinking nothing would have happened until Tuesday anyway ??

You can do your report up to 15 days early for every report. The next 90 day report will be due 90 days from the date when you do your report.

So what are the Russian interests in Thailand they could hit? A russian restaurant? A russian go go bar? etc etc etc. Why should others worry no one but russians go to their hangouts no one else goes to russian places but russians. So the general public has nothing to worry about right.Just get on with their lifes let the russians worry about it.

Yes I agree with you. In Bali, they thought the Bar would be full of Americans( who they were targeting). Tell that to the Aussie relatives.

Also the the staff who were working in the bar were all Indo natives ( muslims).

I thought Muslims were not allowed to work with Alcohol.
