I hate bullies. Teach your boy to crack the bullies in the face with a stone in a sock during the night.
They'll think twice about picking on him again.

Pattaya. I first came to this beautiful temple with a Gogo dancer from the Beach Club before it was ruined. The club not the temple. Happy Days..

Yes you are correct but most of them probably have little knowledge of the islands history , all the more reason to keep repeating it.
Many might not care , but better an informed decision rather than one based on ignorance.
The youngsters come from.places that are far more violent. KT and Thailand in general are a haven of safety compared to London for example. Knife crime, rape, murder, acid burning, gang rape, public beatings...No go areas, people fearful to be on The streets after dark....The youngsters know the facts and the probabilities. They are not stupid. Nor are they hysterical like the old fogies with their imbalanced advice.

the ladyboy muggers will still be there on beach road as usual .like the last 30 years .
Yeah they are part of the local scenery. Never really understand why people hang with them then come on this forum to complain about them ! Just avoid the ten yard section on the one side of the Road where they hang out! Avoid them. Show some tolerance.

Bus driver on ice
That's why I never will take a bus ride
But I remember on other treads about drugs that some people in here just try say drugs is harmless and it have to be legalized
My question is to your guy's do you want ride in a bus with a driver high on drugs but again I had ask before and never got a answer...
Here is your answer. I dont want a drunk driver but booze is legal The Decriminalization of Drugs does not mean uncontrolled. Quite the opposite. It means more control just more humane, logical and profitable control.

Curious ... for those of you who live in places like the UK and Canada, where healthcare is guaranteed ... how do they handle foreign tourists needing medical care? Is it free, billed or do they require payment upfront?
No. The NHS gets ripped off for millions every year.

I might also add, I have travelled to over 50 countries in my life time and not one has ever required me to have travel insurance. Why is Thailand the only country wanting this?
I think they mean medical insurance not travel insurance.

In Australia they would be taken to a Public hospital and be treated immediately. Then they would be billed. Nothing to stop them flying out the next day and not paying though.
In Thailand they Take your passport.

yes it is weird, your comment also
listen, Thailand receives tourists from all over the world,
from myriad countries in Asia and the Pacific
from both north and south America
from myriad countries in Europe
Arab countries
Kaek countries
African countries
you two speak of med ins and trav ins as being standardized issues, homogeneous across the world
what you call med ins wherever you come from does not necessarily match what is understood by
med ins on Fiji
you talk as if all insurance products in the world are structured in accordance with what you shop
that is weird and it is very far from correct
Not at all. I have medical insurance. I think medical insurance is useful for all nationalities. I understand why the Thai government might have an interest in this area. I have no idea why they should be intersted in me or anybody else having insurance for delayed flights, for stolen items and for lost items. Travel insurance might include medical insurance but I believe many inexperienced travellers are using the wrong term. You might think I am weird but I do not need travel insurance. I need medical insurance. What is weird is accepting the daft idea that the Thai government want to force me to insure against lost luggage etc. May I ask what kind of insurance you have? You might find your house insurance covers you for lost and stolen items. You might find your bank gives you free travel insurance.

The Hate and violence and racism you emanate indicate you might not be fit to be a parent. The same unattractive qualities might scare the boy. You hate him and he knows it. This child's suffering is a result of the adults in his life making bad decisions. There are no solutions really.

No not any !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
a few weeks ago here i was in the Jomtien complex ,saw a taxi booth next door to the zing hotel.
taxi to Bangkok 1500 ,ok so he arrives 1130am we arrive in Silom at 240pm !!!
3 hours 10 minutes later !!!!!!!! Now , he only stopped once without asking and that was to refuel and it was only 10 minutes ,so i have no idea which way he went to Bangkok but it took 3 hours !!!!
He said he wanted to avoid the tolls so no idea but next time i will say go via the expressway !!!!
And? Did you ask him the price first? Why didnt you tell him to use the tolls? On a busy day Pattaya to Bangkok can be 3 hours depending where you depart from and where you arrive. Its called cross town traffic. Chill out and go with the flow..you are a stroke candidate! Go for a massage. Get some dirty water off your chest. That will put a smile on your face! Enjoy yourself....Its later than you think!

Thanks a lot of help. I am sad I missed in a newer development a house I fell for. But older, when you rent and there is a large pool, and no noise, well that matter less. I think that it would not be bad, to have a further look. I saw that the last 2 years rent has gone up a lot for nice places. Prices in Pattaya and Jomtien, have become ridiculous. More and more think it is not a bad idea, also that there are beaches, much better, not too far either...
Renting and buying is cheap in Pattaya and Jomtien

not that i object, its just i would hate to see this forum turn into similar as that one.
Nobody told me This was a family based forum. Where does it say that? This thread is about food, nightlife, music...all in Pattaya. You dont have to worry... we have moderators. And very good they are too!

In the UK most people get free travel insurance via their home insurance or it comes free with a bank account.

Very sensible advice indeed, this is probably the best course of action.
But
1. I would lose face
2. I would feel bad about running away from conflict. I've probably walked away from too many.
3. The gent has no right to move my bike because I am not parking in his premises.
How do you really think this woukd end well
>>> I don't think it will end well.or what are you expecting to be the final result?
>> Not really sure. but just hate the idea of having to be a p*ussy1 You have no face. 2 Discretion is The better part of valour. 3 Legal rights and street terratorial imperatives dont exist. 4 If You hate the idea of being a pussy you are inadequate looking for trouble. Park your bike where it wont cause trouble. How old are you? Are you an American? If you can only define your masculinity and self worth by fighting over petty issues you need help.

So, back to the OP.
Isn’t it just about the fact that some of us have an asian fixation?
It’s not a lot different to why a lot of white women are attracted to black guys.
Who knows what in our DNA attracts us to each other.
Go to San Francisco, and I guarantee you 20% of the couples you see in the street will be a white guy with some version of Asian.
Now it’s not that there is a shortage of Asian men in San Francisco for these women, so I’m assuming that the same attraction works both ways
In London you rarely see black girls with white men..And never see Indian or Pakistani girls with white men.

Drinking in every bar. One side first day. Other side next day. If you think the Big Mango Crowd are lightweight..join them on their next jolly and set the pace. The drinking crew there have been in action since 1990. Read their trip reports. They are usually pretty interesting.

So if you have an accident or illness, your insurance company will pay for whatever hospital you go to, cheap government hospital or expensive private hospital?
Depends on TnCs

The hospitals checking that for you b4 they do any move, and once they learn your covered, they gonna milk the insurance company like there is no tomorrow.
After a scooter crash last year, I got first patched up in the local governement hospital, 730 bath, including 2 x-rays.
The same bill in the insuranced covered hospital run into 22000, they did nothing more than redo the patches, and put an displaced finger back in place. And on the top they put a to tight cast on which gets only better after almost a year.
How long were you in hospital? How much were you out of pocket? If the insurance company accepted your claim..then no problem...All good.
