  1. She went to a wild party. She chose to go there. She had motivations to be there.  She chose that group of people and the kudos and status of mixing and moving in such circles. She went for am adventure and got one! She was not raped. She was not beaten. She was not hurt. She was not bruised. She had a life lesson...We all do..To claim trauma 30 years later is bullshit. She is just the mirror of him. Spoilt,  elitist,  entitled, hi so , irresponsible but failed in the power politics of America. I hope he gets in and trashes the Dems for the next 50 years. Sick To death of fascist liberals. Don't like him but like her even less.

Your first quote, to which bristolboy was clearly referring, is the fake, although that has not stopped posters endlessly repeating it. You quickly snuck in a second quote when you realised you had been made to look a right p***.

This time it was a genuine Monnet, but you cut the quote off mid-sentence, dramatically altering its meaning. As I pointed out, it was made in 1943, at the height of WWII with its result still in doubt, when people were coming up with suggestions to ensure it never happened again. His idea of some sort of a European economic union was not such a bad one.

Remember that the overriding philosophy behind the EU in its various guises has been to keep the peace. Perhaps this does not rest comfortably with the English, who seem to be happier when they are at war - Thatcher's popularity was never greater than when she was asking the nation to "rejoice" at the re-capture of South Georgia in the Falklands War.

Liberated people from the threat of a unelected fascist dictator, leading to his defeat   paving the way for democracy.  How many other western leaders have stood up to fascism?

Too late now, you've made your bed, lie in it. I just wish they'd get on with it. How are you supposed to make personal plans when nobody knows where we're gonna be in a year's time. Anyway, comes over to me as a juxtaposition of egos, I think the true interests of the common man are coming in a poor second.

'The common man'.  You are so out of contact with reality.  At least You could try the gender neutral 'the people '.

I very much believe that if he actually did what he was accused of that it is nothing to do with the availability, or not, of sex, or of his relationship with his wife. I believe that if he actually did those things it was caused by mental illness. Remember that mental illness covers a great variety of human conditions, and is no simple matter to diagnose in many cases.

The greatest obstacle to advances in diagnosis is the desire for revenge by the victims of such conditions that would rather see the perpetrator punished than treated.

When I was much younger, I was unfortunate enough to be abused by a woman that exploited men for a short period, and then cast them aside as she moved on to her next victim. Was she mentally ill ( possible sociopath ) or just a nasty piece of work? I'll never know now.

Its a matter of perception and power politics.  Most lads dreamed of sex with an older girl and would not have called it abuse but called it good luck. Its only the insanity of political correctness that has forced lucky lads , blessed with the attentions of older girls, to see themselves as victims. Here's to you Mrs Robinson!

I cannot find one video of an Aussie (or American, or Brit) being punched in the head by an airport security officer. My comments were purely based on what I know of the nationalities I mentioned. They would not take it sitting down. Wouldn't it be interesting to see a Thai tourist being punched in the head by a Chinese airport security officer in China?

Saying "Chinese tourists are obnoxious" (implying all, as you haven't qualified it with "some" or "many") is actually a very obnoxious statement in its own right... it's just more anti-Chinese sentiment to keep the main theme of the thread rolling along.

Of course brexit patriotism is an ideology applied when it suits.

A country that was once a byword for steady, imperturbable (sometimes maddening) stodginess has suddenly revealed itself to be fractious, impulsive and jittery. A land of fair play and cautious pragmatism (don’t rock the boat, no need to frighten the horses, steady as she goes) has become moody and quarrelsome. Thanks to Theresa May, the idea that we are in any way “strong and stable” has lost all credibility.

True, there have been some “successes” but as an outsider looking in, I will celebrate the accomplishments of the police department when I start seeing them improve abolishing  corruption and most of all...out and about patrolling the city’s sidewalks and streets from local citizens that feel they’re above the law and do not have to follow the “rules”.

Are you referring to the military with your last comment.

Nope, the copyrights have expired of those artists, you can use their work for free and make money of it (give classical concerts). The money you paid went to the orchestras performing the specific pieces you bought.

Nowadays artists get rich from touring (concerts), merchandise, paid downloads, commercials on their youtube channel, etc.

I dont buy any music; my favorite artists upload their whole performances and hits to their youtube channels where i watch them. They only get ad income from that.

You can extract the music from you tube videos ...converted to high quality MP3 format.

Why do you think you have to pay greedy prostitutes to have any fun.

Girls are part of the opportunities offered here. Great fun! But I also travel extensively in Thailand, go sight seeing, go to festivals, visit Issan,  go to concerts, go running and swimming, go drinking and dining. And sometimes go whoring. Whats wrong with that? Its part of life here. Interestingly I have noticed the expats who dont go out with girls are always the moaners and complainers .

Who are you quoting because your rant doesn't make any sense by it's self?

By the way and as an aside, cows are not rated higher than a women in India. There are cultural beliefs around the cow producing milk as does a women / mother. They are therefore not supposed to be eaten or killed...I guess not many 9 year old cows get raped and burned but that is another really ugly side and a whole other story relating to the situation there.

Cows are sacred in India .because they are associated with Krishna. Arabs and Indians can't handle alchol and look down on women.
