By all fairness, those kind of attacks happen anywhere where some money can be made.

Happened in Kuala Lumpur when the Taxi Mafia attacked the cars and drivers of UBER and GRAB, happens in Bali, when drivers of the crooked Taxi companies set cars of the only trusted company BLUEBIRD alight and physically attack their drivers, and it even happens in Europe

And it's, the first time I've ever heard of this, happening in WS or any where in Pattaya.

I think that this is evidence that the money is running thin. There is a turn down in tourism. Not so many tourists in Walking st,tired of being ripped off by the Russians? This could be a sign of things to come.Thais turning on Thais,It cant get any better.I dont live in Patts anymore,i dont think that area of town is very safe anymore.

It's safe-I go there frequently.  WS is effectively 'family fun'.  When you say 'tired of being ripped off by Russians - What are you talking about? Then you say: ' Thais turning on Thais, it can't get any better. ' It sounds like blatant race hate poison to me from a damaged mind.

Why don't you all try the free service first before before assuming its to expensive, seems not bad for a crossing of the gulf, and seeing as it's not a government funded necessity same as those for islands without access it seems fair do as a boat of those specs will certainly not be cheap to run

Such reasonable views are alien to the attack dogs on fun who infest TV where hate, anti Thai racism and pessimism are the order of the day.

I want to support this service I really do but leaving pattaya for a dumbed down version of it just doesn't make any sense.
If I want a unique experience I will go to koh larn for 30 baht with far better beaches than those other two

My understanding is that Huahin is a small coastal town with shops, hotels, restaurant, bars and beaches. Currently a 6 hour journey now only one and a half it will encourage me to visit there. The fact that so many TV board members of a certain type are promising to boycot the ferry is both promising and encouraging.  Count me in-its cheap at the price and fast. As for the Pattaya to Koh Lan ferry being 30 baht-it should be increased to a 100 baht to give all the staff better wages.

By connecting them all together so they can talk to eachother and the one who controls them....is that too hard to understand??

I thought they ordered this already after the Erawan bomb exploded?? Half of the camera's didn't work then and the other half gave a very lousy image.

If this network works well (like in London) they can follow a person whereever he goes. Now you figure out why that could be handy.

It does not work well in London. Crime has not declined.

In less than 2 months this company, Royal Passenger Liner Co, is set to begin operation. Do they have a picture of the exact vessel they plan to use on the innaugural runs across the gulf?

At B2400 per person for a return ticket Pattaya to HH and back, is that exepensive?.

For a group of 4 going for the day, thats B9600. . I have no plans to ever use this new service.

What do those that have thought about this service have to say?

Sounds a great idea and I will try it as it is a cheap interesting way to travel.  It will motivate me to visit Huahin

These would be the same fishermen that pollute the beaches and seas, killing countless of it's creatures, with plastic bottles, ropes, polystyrene, discarded buoys, glass bottles, etc etc. The fishermen of this region seem to have more disrespect for the hand that feeds them than any other group of people I know.

No. Not the same.  Shore based anglers are not the same as sea fleet based fishermen.

I agree with this move, but the logic baffles me.

Is he going to remove road rage violence, murders, etc. from the crime list because the government has failed to curb them?

The war on drugs has actually made the problem worse.  This cannot be said in any other area of the law.

  10. Yes more than enough.  You can eat at some of the best restaurants in Bangkok and have some high class girls every day. Also good whiskey wine and other exotic experiences.  Plenty of money for cultural tours-shooting- days trips with a model/guide who will give you skilled sex and RGFE.

Never heard an Aussie put Australia down. Some of them are unhappy about the pension set up, but otherwise they are a lot like Geordies and people from Salford, a bit prickly and thin-skinned about negative comments.

Intelligent people know they have no reason to be proud of where they we're born and no reason to be uncritical. Salford   'A Class Slum' But I didn't need to read that book to know it's a shithole.  Newcastle not much better.  As for Australia - Many Aussies know the limitations  of the place - sport as a substitute for culture-narrow minded parochial attitudes-immigration- the destruction of aboriginal  peoples and the drunk despair they live in- grim machismo and homophobia-All these pointed out to me by young Aussies who could not wait to get out.

To answer your question dennis is by taking the money out of the relationship in other words date an equal, or in Thailand someone who has a decent well paid job who owns or is paying off a house etc.

By having a criteria and sticking to it and out of the bars and seedy areas you will find many suitable partners, I'm always amazed at the guys who cough up an allowance to keep there women, now i bet not one of these guys would do it in there home countries so whats with doing it in Thailand?

All marriages all over the world we're based on the man giving his wife money to run the household.  Monied women with a full time job is barely 40 years old as an idea.  Man bread winner - Woman housewife.  A traditional form of marriage.

I have read all the Jack Reacher novels.  But I can't get my head around 5'8"  140 pound Tom Cruise playing 6'5" 230 pound Jack Reacher.  Night School?  A new JR novel?  I will look for it.  The movie JR should be 'The Rock' Dwayne Johnson.  Tom Cruise?  No way!

Just finished a memoir by Daniel Ellsberg (Secrets) about his involvement in the Vietnam war and his releasing the Pentagon Papers.  Alternating between breathless and outraged while reading.  The Kite Runner is in my unread stack and I have ordered three books on Aquaponics.

Agree about the crap casting - I thought the from POI would have been good.
