Nuclear news with the commander being transferred to an inactive post now....why oh why do they try to cover feces up here. Just admit your troops are crooks and so are most of the RTP. Start to hang these guts out to dry, name and shame them and terminate them. Prosecute them and give them jobs in the prison scrubbing the toilets.

From what I was told if I left the country just prior to my 1 year then returned the clock would reset and a new 1 year time frame would start, this was told to me on the day the inserted my LTR Visa back in October by the BOI LTR staff. As i said I obtained my LTR in October, I then left for a trip to the Philippines in November, and upon my return was stamped back in with the same ending date as the initial 5 year stamp. I called BOI just to enguire again and was told my 1 year report then restarted with my new arrival date. Just like your 90 days restart when on an extension of stay and using a re-entry permit, which the LTR Visa includes.

Bill Heinecke: "Crazy to give vaccines to tourists"
ThailandRyan replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Why? Please enthrall us with your reasoning. Being an anti-vaxxer and believing the misinformation fed is not reason. All vaccines and medication have some type of inherent risks associated. -
Try and look at the true picture of Line of Duty deaths, your numbers are off. https://www.odmp.org/search/year?year=2022 Then look at the other side using verified statistics and not your own posted info without a verified link. https://www.statista.com/statistics/585140/people-shot-to-death-by-us-police-by-weapon-carried-2016/

Same issue at some checkpoints where the driver of a vehicle with non visa individuals is stopped, the brown envelope gets exchanged and on the way they go. I know this from an experience recently where the soon to be MIL paid 26k of which half went to the driver and the other half to the men manning the checkpoint, 6 were in the Fortuner being driven, so a lucrative trip, and one thats done at least 3 times a week by this specific driver with the contacts.

Thats the VIP Treatment that one can obtain for a special price, but at home after awhile the VIP treatment consists of the house being cleaned, clothes washed and a few other items....

Visa not in passport
ThailandRyan replied to Lorry's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
My LTR Visa is just a stamp in my passport and the quality leaves much to be desired. The digital work permit is another issue as well, and now you can have a digital license for driving by using the DLT App so you do not need to carry the license with you.....whats next retinal scans. -
Yet 12 months after you get the extension your back doing the extension once again.....unless you want to wait until the 13th month....lol

I drove through 3 checkpoints just yesterday on the way back to PKK from Phang Nga on Hwy 4. At each one i had to roll down all of the windows and then the GF who is from Myanmar had to show her passport to the Police, I/O, Ranger, which they thumbed through to find her extension of stay and then they questioned her, normal procedure for us, and it takes all of 5 minutes.

Jump though the hoops, get a COR then go to DLT with your original books, licenses, passport and all copies. Fill out new paperwork at 3 different locations, the motorbike office, the car office and then over to licensing. If you move provinces it becomes even more hoop jumping....PKK wanted me to change the plates on my vehicles from Bangkok plates. My licenses had to be done at a different office and I had to go to Bangkok just to change the address on the green book and blue book since I wasn't playing the game to pay for new plates and have new books made...longer story than the OP. Yet because I am retired I have time. It also is a good idea to show up early rather than waiting until 3pm at immigration...lol

@1happykamper Just wait until you move again and need to change your address on your licenses and the vehicle owners books...lol...more fun.
