I don’t think you get it.

The whole point was for the streaming.

He's made big money doing that.

I seriously doubt he would be doing such scenes privately.

    No money in that.

I do get why people dislike this dude and the way he makes money.

But objectively speaking just deport him and be done with it.

It's not good for Thailand's brand to be seen as overly draconian. Most people come here to have fun.

I do get it. He's in the <deleted> because he streamed it from Thailand. He's dumb enough not to do due diligence.

His claim that he'll kill himself rather than go to gaol in Thailand...  pffft.

Anyway, enough discussion about this low grade entertainer.

Are SQ not also a bit overpriced... I always thought so.

Depends, I've flown with them and other carriers and have found SQ to be pretty reasonable. Some compare them to Qatar. Qatar has a reputation for changing aircraft and some class passengers getting a lower level of hard product that they paid for.

SQ is consistent with their levels of service which puts them ahead of some other carriers IMHO.

I've flown on China Air and found it to be very good. Emirates, well take your chances and if there is an issue try getting a positive result from them.

Thai used to be good but we all know what's happened with them unfortunately.

Maybe I am misunderstanding this, but if it was just for his girlfriend, couldn't he have just FaceTimed, or Skyped her rather than doing a livestream for everyone to see? Or was it a moneymaking scheme?

I doubt he will get a jail sentence. Probably just deported with a blacklist ban for a while.

Yeah he could have but his ego wouldn't let him. He wanted another boost by broadcasting it.

Dumb as dumb but who really cares.

I wonder what the driver's excuse will be as to why he could not react in time to avoid the collision.

I wonder what the pedestrians excuse will be as to why they didn't take the very brief time to see if there was a vehicle turning.

Your dumb comment shows the typical attitude these days of people shifting blame onto others in an attempt to release themselves of any responsibility for self care.

I have another suggestion. Why don't they scan the bars for overage gals. That way they can maintain the aesthetic of the nation. There are alot more ugly, fat and old gals (UFO's) these days.

Someone should tell them that they are too old for the trade.

    Imaginary interview.

How old are you? 49. Oh, that is OK.

What do you weigh? 76 kilos. No problem.

There is no aesthetic requirement here, so your lack of beauty will not be a problem. You are hired.

    UFOs 555 I like it

Let me know next time you need a taxi ???? I will drive you a few km for 500 baht any day!

The comment was with regard to the airport taxis. Most of my trips using those are between 30 - 40 minutes.

  7. There needs to be education about the cycle of events that contribute to this situation.

The government can put in place legislation, enter into agreement with other nations as often as they do, but it amounts to nothing.

The caretaker at our local school rakes up piles of leaves and rubbish then sets fire to it while the teachers and kids are outside having morning assembly with smoke wafting over them. Many of the kids are visibly affected by this.

Stopping this pollution needs to be tackled not only through legislation but also education at the start in schools and also in community.

One of the obstacles is of course the fact that the general population accepts what is happening as mostly unavoidable and out of their control.

Pressure for change needs to be put on local and central government. It needs to come from children and their families.

Its quite amusing to read of so many comments from posts ‘wearing their absence of knowledge of Khao Sarn road’ as a ‘badge of pride’.....

... So what you don’t know where somewhere is, don’t know how to get there, don’t want to go there etc etc.... Its hardly of any relevance to the thread at all....

I really wonder why some of you posters feel the need to write anything at all in these threads which seemingly have no relevance or interest to you... its just weird !!!...

Plenty of blow asses here mate.

I lived in BKK 3 years before I moved to Pattaya.

I worked (as a defense contractor). Lived off Lat Phrao as well.

Been from Hua Hin to Chiang Rai over to Laos, down to Koh Chang and most places in between.

If my life depended on it, I could NOT tell a soul where exactly Khao San Road is.

Somewhere in a city of 8 million people???

I never even asked a taxi driver about it. I was a booked into the Dynasty hotel my first visit.

    I was happy.

PS....If you need directions to Cupidy, I can help.

    Yeah, that's really interesting...  NOT

Of course it would be 300 Baht whichever way you count it.

9.40am Sunday to 11,00pm Monday is well over 24 hours, so 2 X 24 hour periods

or most of Sunday and nearly all Monday, so 2 days at 150/day

Easy as  oh and it's a little over 37hrs not 48hrs. You know,  just getting the maths right ????
