I would do the same, but seeing my daughter unhappy everyday because she misses me, I need to get out there ASAP..
I'm with you on that. My situation is the same.
I'm planning to enter Thailand around March 2022, dependent on a few variables of course

I would think that like a hot sheet with the daily list of stolen cars we would get back in the US as a LEO, the immigration police who drive the BMW smart cars would be given a list of those on a list that have overstayed their visas, extension of stats etc.., and then sent out to start looking for them in the last known locations they had been seen or registered in. With the camera system running as they drove about the computer does all of the work and a hit would be confirmed with the system and the person stopped and arrested much like finding those stolen vehicles. Of course stolen cars would possibly take one on a pursuit but an out of shape overstayer would stand no chance.
What if the individual is wearing a mask?
Those car's are pretty smart.

Where my family live, near Kaset Sombun, nobody wants Sinovac.
They hear what it like and where it comes from. They don't trust the Chinese or this Government either.
Many people ask why this Government wants to buy submarines and airforce planes and not take care their people.

By way of comparison, Australia - an island-continent with mostly non-porous borders - is currently at 31% fully vaxed. They are now having the debate whether to open up fully when they reach 70% or 80% fully vaxed.
And look where they are at present. Covid is hardly anywhere near manageable

well 95,500 times 4,303 times 35 equals millions doesn't it?
500 new jobs for Thais and 95,000 for migrant workers probably.
It's only 2700+ jobs per province...

And yet there is little help for the general population

Abuse of pets in this country is widespread. While this case is particularly atrocious I see/hear animal abuse every day. Dogs locked up in small areas. Never walked, never petted, just seen as another possession like a new car or iPhone to show others how rich they are as they can afford these luxuries. A country of animal lovers it isn't.
yep... a lot of them are Buddhist when it suits. Plastic Buddhists

Maybe you've been watching Reefer Madness... it's that kind of nonsense that has prolonged the disaster that is the War on Drugs.
Addictive personalities can become psychologically addicted to anything, chocolate candy bars for example - shall we ban them?

Delaying air travel for me is not an issue as i fall into married and have child......the delay in getting home is the financial cost of getting from sydney australia to nakhon si tammarat. Having been quoted $16,500 for a 1 way flight, still waiting 2 months now for australian boarder force permission to travel, and its impossible to get a covid19 test done within 72 hours of flying.
Yes there is a cheaper flight that has a stop over in china....for australians it is a do not travel zone due to the changes in the laws............
That is a massive fare price... I was looking on the Thai Airways website for a fare from Auckland to BKK in February, advertised at $1800NZ. Economy fare
Thailand again signals move away from mass-market foreign tourism with falling numbers
