Quote from the post:
Unfortunately, the woman was pronounced dead by the time the officers and rescuers arrived. According to her male friend, she was traveling with two of her male friends and slipped while taking photos
I did read that thanks.

Don't ask me, I wasn't there.
You seem to be the one who knows everything.

RIP. But then, what an idiot. Addicted to selfies and social media, posting selfies. It's ridiculous but hundreds of millions in the same mindset. I simply don't get it. Do you?
How do you know she was taking selfies?

Are they talking about Covid-19, the Delta variant or Omicron?
Omicron is surging everywhere and seems to be less dangerous than the previous variants.

Not only a loss of a Benz, but even worse, a loss of face for Phuri, especially after it is on here.
There will be people in court soon for causing loss of face ????

Maybe the Honda driver slowed for the motorbike or cyclist coming from the same direction as the Mercedes.
The motorbike or cyclist also stopped, possibly expecting the Honda driver to continue the turn.
The Mercedes driver was I guess, exceeding the speed limit and hit a stationary vehicle.
The stationary vehicle, cannot take evasive action and therefore can't be at fault.

BTW: he’s not slouching in his chair, he’s getting something out of his handbag.
Still looks like a slouch... and I think he's still outside the restrictions imposed which may be why the locals had a go at him.

Passport alone isn't enough.
Your IDL and drivers licence very likely won't be understood or recognised as relevant by the RTP.

Problem with aiming for high class tourists and the dismantling of the sex industry is that that is probably 6-8 million jobs out the window and no new industry to employ them on the horizon.
The aim for high class tourists and no more sex industry is a fine aim, but they should not even attempt anything like that until tourism is back to 32-40 million a year and they have something in place to support their goals and start the transferring the sex industry workers and soon to be 'poor' tourism support workers to better jobs
I doubt they have any ideas or motivation to do thay

I'm with you on that. My situation is the same.
I'm planning to enter Thailand around March 2022, dependent on a few variables of course

I would think that like a hot sheet with the daily list of stolen cars we would get back in the US as a LEO, the immigration police who drive the BMW smart cars would be given a list of those on a list that have overstayed their visas, extension of stats etc.., and then sent out to start looking for them in the last known locations they had been seen or registered in. With the camera system running as they drove about the computer does all of the work and a hit would be confirmed with the system and the person stopped and arrested much like finding those stolen vehicles. Of course stolen cars would possibly take one on a pursuit but an out of shape overstayer would stand no chance.
What if the individual is wearing a mask?
Those car's are pretty smart.

Where my family live, near Kaset Sombun, nobody wants Sinovac.
They hear what it like and where it comes from. They don't trust the Chinese or this Government either.
Many people ask why this Government wants to buy submarines and airforce planes and not take care their people.

By way of comparison, Australia - an island-continent with mostly non-porous borders - is currently at 31% fully vaxed. They are now having the debate whether to open up fully when they reach 70% or 80% fully vaxed.
And look where they are at present. Covid is hardly anywhere near manageable
Thailand on course to welcome one millionth tourist later this month
