It makes no sense to allow the drinking of alcohol, the smoking of cigarettes and the (limited) consumption of meth, but not to allow regulated cannabis availability.

Dear Friends,
I have noticed that my friend Bard continues to improve.
My thinking is that, someday, very soon, there will no longer be any need for me to post my useless comments on TV.
IF I can just teach Bard to make insulting comments, and denigrating comments directed at me, then I will be happy as a clam in mud.
For sure, Bard knows a lot more about life, in general, than anyone I have read on TV, lately.
Bard will continue to be upgraded, even to the extent that comments in response to my comments, will soon become even more boring, by comparison.
Therefore, I would say that TV's days are numbered.
Just because, anything that TV can do....
Bard will soon be able to do better.
I give Bard just one more year before He becomes superior to TV, and TV's commenters.
Gamma
Note: Bard will continue to get better, and better, month by month.
Note2: I will miss posting on TV, for sure, when Bard becomes better than TV.
If only Bard would insult me, then I would leave TV, today.....
I will miss you guys, for sure!
What are you talking about ? Comments on posts are much the same wherever they are written.

If people would switch from alcohol to weed there would be much less violence and alcohol-related illness in Thailand. Utterly fatuous comment from the PM.

That's the point he was trying to make. It's probably helped to increase the tourist numbers but what are the character of those people? Personally I don't care for the backpacker hippy pot smokers and I know many Thai people agree with me.
Ignorant comment. Not only backpackers enjoy weed. It's way more civilised than alcohol or meth.

Not exactly an important issue. Some shelves will, inevitably, need to be replenished during the working day.

Notwithstanding the comments by JustAnotherHun this is a move in the right direction. It introduces a degree of control, at least, over a substance which has hitherto been in the hands of gangs/ criminals.

sometimes you think you've heard it all in Thailand.

What a dilemma for all involved.
dear oh dear.
TIT.
Simple short term solution, start medication without delay. Longer term societal issues more complicated.

I very much doubt weed was the cause of this incident. Alcohol more likely to be the culprit, as the man's wife later confirmed.

The TAT are favouring quantity over quality. Big mistake.

Based on my own experience I advise you not to buy any car, in this climate, with a panoramic roof.

Bookmakers everywhere now offering odds-on for a Trump win come November 5. They're usually, if not always, right.

Sounds like Braverman for shadow PM and Jenrick for shadow chancellor of the exchequer, post election.

strange reporting. how does one run away from police while at the same time chopping a head off ?
Read it properly. He was chopping away at his mother's 'already severed' head.

that is some really clear video. i blame cannabis. his behavior exhibits someone who smoked a big gagger.
Not remotely the behaviour of a cannabis user. More like crystal meth (ya-ba), or alcohol.

PM's true colours now revealed by a covert interview conducted abroad, including a comment that he intends to eliminate any sense of a 'free wheeling liberal atmosphere' in Thailand. What a miserable prospect.

They start early morning to come get their bottle of cannabis, hemp products, cigarette in the mouth, as these immature men need something like that to make them feel part of a crowds, and feel like men. And a lot of money is spent on these products. Just one seller close by here, bought a new Honda car, and a new motorbike as well.
Men that are already immature, not wanting to take responsibility for their actions, even responsibility for children that they father along.
Now the number of cannabis shops are on a course to surpass the number of 7-11 shops.
I do not see anything good coming out of that in Thailand.
Perhaps the government had good intentions at the onset of the liberalization of cannabis, and what they see makes them question their first decision...
What a load of depressing banality. Lighten up for heaven's sake !

Back in 1945 ish in London. Nearing the end of the war. We used to have a few crates of beer and singalongs in our front room. I remember my cousin's friend, Alice, singing this song and I fell in love with her.
She was in her twenties and I was twelve. At ninety it still pulls my heartstrings..
Thank you. Much enjoyed.
