Disgraceful, but sadly not unusual in Thailand. The perpetrator should not be allowed to ever teach again. That won't happen, of course.

Why were many humans, and many other species, created with the desire to eat flesh ? The cruelty involved is more like the work of the devil.

Agents are in business to make money by helping illegals to circumvent the law. If you're sure that's the way you want to go you will have already seen a number agents recommended by people on here replying to your question. Personally, having first visited Thailand in 1961 and throughout the 1970s, having worked here in the 1980s, and retired here in 1993, I have never to date used an agent for any purpose.

Sounds to me as though you should reconsider your desire to live in Thailand. Given the situation you describe you will be fringe legal, and will face ongoing hassle here.

Much ado about nothing. It was not criminal conduct to know Epstein,  to fly on his aeroplane, or to visit his property. This is a media induced frenzy.

Killing and eating animals is disgustjng.

My Thai wife and I were married in Taiwan in 1990. We have never married in Thailand, an arrangement with which we are both entirely happy and which has produced no drawbacks as yet. However I would be cautious about marrying in the US. If at some point a separation/divorce came about the cost would likely be far greater in the US than in Thailand.

A couple of years ago, I had a culture clash with my GF. Our dog was dying slowly and painfully from cancer. I wanted to do the merciful thing, and get him euthanased. She said no, against her religion.

After thinking about it, I told her I was going back to the condo. If you do not have him put down, I don't want to see you for a couple of months.

Two days later, she phoned me to say a vet had put the dog down.

 

She was very distressed, saying she had done a bad thing. Over time, I have managed to convince her what she did was merciful.

It never ceases to amaze me how many otherwise rational people are f@cked in the head by religion.

What religion are you referring to ? Buddhism is a philosophy, not a religion. Sadly in Thailand it has morphed into idol worship, with some very strange outcomes. If most Thais are Buddhists, why are they killing and eating animals, but objecting to euthanasia ? Very strange, but as foreigners we have to accept that's the way things are here. We should, however, hold our own when it comes to certain issues relating to our personal lives eg marriage, work and money.

Nongyao was attacked by the very person, her husband, she was caring for.  Best wishes for a speedy recovery, and for ongoing protection from such a vile partner.

Yes indeed. Such brave boys in the RTP. Hopefully they will, before long, focus on murder, rape and armed robbery.

Why do others do immigration business themselves? I do it because I don't want to be involved in graft, be attached to an agent and pay a lot of extra money for what amounts to about $100 an hour for my time if I paid an agent.

 

Why do you do your immigration business yourself?

I have always done annual extensions to my retirement visa myself, most recently at CW last week. In at 0830, out at 1030 with no hassle.

The reports on this case are incomplete but, in my opinion, it is highly likely the woman was behaving in a spoiled and abusive manner.
