  1. Indeed. however your language in this case was inappropriate, to put it mildly.
  2. Good question. To this day I don't know, perhaps because my work took me abroad for extended periods. Her mother was aggressively unbalanced and, as time went by, she developed similar symptoms. Not great for me, but far worse for our two children. Finally divorced in 1986 after 23 years of marriage. Posted to Bangkok, I met and married a Thai lady in 1990. She is now 70, I am 82. We are still together, and very happy to be so.
  3. My first wife threatened something similar. She was from Forfar, in Scotland.
  4. Weak. pathetic, disgusting men you say ? What gives you the right to make such a contemptible statement ?
  5. Still 50 plus days to go before the election. In politics a lot can change in that time. Too close to call at present, but Harris is certainly in the running now.
  6. Met Andrew a few times at chambers of commerce meetings in HK and Singapore. Friendly enough on a one on one basis, but could be rude and bombastic in a crowd. Generally the Saxe-Coburg Gothas/Windsors have a lot to answer for over the years, starting with Britain's totally unnecessary entrance into WW1. I'm not an anti-monarchist in general, however the performance of this bunch over the years leaves a lot to be desired. They may not have direct power but they have enormous influence which they have failed to exercise in the best interests of the UK.
  7. The accident sounds like 50/50 incident in terms of blame. I suspect the pick-up driver had non-related accident issues for not wanting to be confronted by the police.
  8. We shall see. Don't count your chickens before they hatch. Long way to go yet....
  9. Not at all. Cannabis is being cited by the anti-cannabis crowd when the reality is that alcohol and methamphetine are to blame. Cannabis induces calm, not violent or other abnormal behaviour.
  10. No wars. whatsoever. were started during Trump's presidency.
  11. Yes. Her husband, and father of her son, was nearly killed. Your comment is about as low as anyone can go.
  12. My bookmaker is still offering odds on a Trump win. He's very seldom wrong which is why he's rich.
  13. The article seems to be 9 months old. Since then there has been a change of govt. It remains to be seen if this proposed legislation is ever approved.
  14. I have no stake in the forthcoming election other than through my bookmaker with whom I placed a large bet some time ago. In that context I note that all polls are now moving in favour of Trump.
  15. Appalling, disgusting cruelty to animals goes on all over the world sad to say. One day humanity will pay for this.
  16. You'll grow out of it, eventually.
  17. This was presumably built under the chaotic Tory regime so hardly applicable to the current Labour govt. However, the sight and sound of Starmer, and most members of his cabinet, is less than inspiring. to put it mildly. Hopefully appearance is not an indicator of performance. We shall see...
  18. Much ado about nothing. Just ask him to buy something or leave.
