  1. In answering your question it is likely that Thailand will try to stay neutral but will likely be betrayed by its' pro-Chinese politicians. Worth remembering that it was the USA who saved Thailand from world-wide recriminations following Thailand's cooperation with Japan during WW2, and it was the USA who then supported Thailand militarily and financially thereafter.
  2. Rubbish from start to finish.
  3. Trump still odds-on at my bookmakers for a win in November.. Any thoughts ?
  4. This is about how foreigners behave when abroad. In this case it appears to have been a Brit. Hopefully he will be caught and deported.
  5. Rude, thuggish behaviour is unacceptable anywhere.
  6. Depends entirely on how you want to live, as it does in any country. If you want to stay in top hotels/ apartments and eat western food it will not be cheap.
  7. ...or revert to their prior to WW1 family surname of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha.
  8. I am told you can use the yellow book and pink ID card for reporting online, so worth a try. You will find the pink ID card more useful generally than is indicated on this forum. I have used it, inter alia, when entering certain buildings, when identifying myself to the police, and at my local hospital.
  9. Most children in Thailand are raised in the same way as mushrooms ie kept in the dark, and fed on s..t.
  10. Ridiculous. GB News is far less biased and more diverse than any other UK news channel.
  11. These groups are mainly centre right, not far right. They are concerned about the breakdown of law and order in their countries following the relaxation of immigration controls.
  12. Ignorant rubbish. Weed induces calm, not violence. This case is more likely one involving alcohol and crystal meth.
  13. As others have said, in that area at 4.40 in the morning there is a lot of potential for trouble, mainly down to alcoholic excess.
  14. Too early to say. Thaksin is behind the proposal to re-criminalize. As he has done in the past he may have over-estimated his importance in the Thai hierarchy. Many top people heve invested in the cannabis business recently.
  15. Misleading headline. It's not yet a reversal. I note that the USA is today relaxing reguiatory control of cannabis use, bringing it into line with sevaral orher western countries. Sensible and civilised. Hopefully Thailand will take note.
  16. Well said. BTW, as a former President, is Trump also allowed to utilize executive privilege ?
  17. This became a s..t show from the moment the election result was manipulated, now compounded by the return to Thailand of the formerPM/convicted criminal.
  18. Why did the RTP wait for over 4 months before taking action ? A very odd story.
  19. Feeling bored by something you once enjoyed is being jaded, it has nothing to do with tipping.
  20. Many years ago I lost a gold ring to a guy who introduced himself to me with a hand-shake on a beach in Rayong. I only realiized it had gone after he had disappeared. Lesson learned...
  21. Weed users are not riff-raff. They are made up of all types ranging from backpackers to well-off residents. Anyway, whatever your background, make the best of it while you can. It appears the civilized move to relax regulations is about to be snuffed out by Thaksin's people. Cannabis will soon be back into the hands of gangsters , sadly.
