The report appears to be over a year old which is odd. I lived in Taiwan for 5 years where my neighbour had 2 large male pitbulls. They were a delight. Friendly and funny. In Thailand I have 6 dogs at our place in the country in Rayong. They will only go for you if you invite yourself unannounced through the main gates. I have never ever had a problem with soi dogs in all the time I have been in Thailand, having first arrived in 1961, worked here in the 1980s, and retired here in 1993.

Thais seem to be wildly optimistic re land and house prices. A guy with a townhouse near to me In Ratchayothin, Bangkok is wanting to sell for 9m but the top price for his property should be 5m max.

I love dogs. I have six at our place near to Rayong, along with six cats and various other animals. When I am there I walk the dogs through nearby rubber plantations at 5 o'clock in the morning. At the house they make a lot of noise whenever strangers appear at the main gates, and usually have a howling session around midnight. Doesn't bother me at all. I am very disturbed by the animal hatred frequently expressed in posts here. Animals are far and away nicer than humans.

I like Bangkok, and 40 years ago I married a girl born and bred in Bangkok. She likes Bangkok, it is, after all, her home town. We do, however, have a country place in Rayong where we spend about 50% of our time. We always stay in Bangkok during festive seasons. At those times Bangkok is a delight. Easy to get around with hardly any traffic.
