    PM and Labour leader Starmer is hardly an impressive looking individual. It gets worse when he speaks. Having said that, the Tories have a lot to answer for after fourteen years of mis-rule.

    For whatever reason the poisoner has committed a cruel and unforgivable act. I hope he is apprehended and jailed. I fear that is unlikely, given how little many Thai people care for animals in Buddhist Thailand.

    She was naive, but understandably so. Sadly many sporting institutions/governances in Thailand are rife with corruption of this kind.

    Our two properties are in my Thai wife's name, and I have nominated her to receive my depentent's pension in the likely event that I will pre-decease her.

    IIn the West it is habitual for old people to be shovelled off into homes for the elderly, or to be left alone to fend for themselves. At 83 I am cared for very well by my Thai wife, to whom I've been happily married for 40 years. and her family in Thailand. I take things day by day, and my health is still ok. So far, so good.

    As a Brit I can only say, from a considerable distance, that these prosecutions appear to have been more politics driven than justice driven.

    A bit late in the day. Idolatry replaced Buddhism throughout most of Thailand a long time ago.

    Not at all sure that the analysts on Monitor can be trusted, and there are enough checks and balances within the US system to keep a tight grip on security in terms of both intelligence and policy. No worries.

    You write well in English. Well done. Regarding the language problem my own experience with my Thai wife for over 40 years is that my Thai has got worse as her English has got better. The only thing I can advise is not to worry about language issues. If there is good will from each for the other it should not be a problem. If there is not good will then you have the wrong partner.
