  1. Usually if he is convicted by the provincial court and if he pleaded ' not guilty ' he will get bail whilst it goes to the Appeal court, if he loses there, he will apply for bail until it goes to the Supreme court. This can go on for anything up to 12 years or more with backlog, delays and stalling. I have just checked and found a link on the Bangkok Post which states he pleaded ' not guilty ' thus entitling him to bail.
  2. I think the noble present leadership will sell the assets and buy computers, Sports equipment and much needed safe transportation for the poor kids at school in Isaarn. You know, share the ill gotten gains for a good cause that will benefit rural Thailand. There again, maybe not, I've heard there's a Rolex watch sale coming up!
  3. That would definitely be us lot!
  4. He will be out on appeal for sure right up to the Supreme court and that takes years and years.
  5. Well I always was asked. From " Do you want to sponsor our football team " and we can do your extension this morning...to " I am going on my lunch, if you want quick service, speak to my colleague " Even worse, come back tomorrow! So, we may have different experiences, but don't imply mine was wrong. I hated that office. And " for balance" this has never occurred in Kalasin!
  6. I hated going there for extension renewals and the corrupt officials in that place. I was so pleased when Kalasin opened its own immigration office. A far more friendly office and you just pay the required fees, without pressure for tea money!
  7. Absolutely, Even my hometown is littered with Thai massage parlors, Thai restaurants acting as ' fronts ' for growing weed etc Also, Thai women who have separated from British husbands ' on the game '
  8. It probably shares the same chassis as the Toyota 4X4 2.8i Rocco that I just got rid of after just short of 4 years! Apples and Oranges........ or sour grapes? Does your 14 year old truck or my nearly 4 year old truck have all thew latest tech and gadgets that the new Legender has? New body shape, new lights, new exterior and plush interior, seats 7, automatic boot opening and closing, cloud tracking in case of theft, loaded dash with latest apps etc etc? Nope, I don't think so! I can afford it, I liked and so I bought it.
  9. I'll tell you what I know. I traded in a 4x4 2 8i Toyota Truck with less than 30,000Km. I bought the Legender. I am happy. I don't spend my days going through the " thread to the needle " on cars. I made a comment, its a happy purchase. Thats it, thats all Ask me one on hotels, bars and discotheques and I can answer you with what I have exoert knowledge of.
  10. Yes, I have been in trucks now for 12 years. I did have a Fortuner 14 years ago but this is streets ahead of that car.
  11. Ford doesn't seem to have national coverage for maintenance as much as Toyota does. Also, Porsche and Benz are a totally different animal and price range. I am happy with my decision to buy the Toyota Legender.
  12. I love the current tuna version
  13. Lights, dashboard, interior , all round cameras including 3D, and a panel loaded with apps. Also a very comfortable leather interior. 6'3" I dont have an issue getting in and out. Never thought to ask my other half, but she hasn't complained...????
  14. I am 6' 3" it's not a problem that I noticed
  15. I disagree on that unless you were in a different car to what I am driving. I find the interior sleek and way better than previous models But each to their own.
  16. I think the two Frenchmen should get fifty lashes each, then taken out to be hung, drawn and quarted , after this they should be fined and compensation awarded to this poor innocent Thai ' victim ' as has already been decided by the court of opinion on TVF. Then their remains should be deported, And then blacklist their ' ashes ' Their car should be handed over to Ferrari Joe as he knows what to do with such items. Any Rolex's found in their abode, hand them over to the Deputy PM.
  17. Dunno, But it's very star trek, I like it.
  18. No idea, but it seems far more economical than the 4x 4. I just got it.
  19. Guys, I just traded in my top of the range 4 X 4 pickup. four years old and not even 30,000 KM on the clock due to not going anywhere with Covid situation. It was mint condition and I pulled 800K from a Thai guy privately. I have now bought the brand new Toyota Legender 2.4L and I got to say its space age and a fantastic ride. Delighted with the purchase at 1,620,000 baht. Not cheap but a great motor. Do yourselves a favour if you are in the market for a new one and take a test drive.
  20. They'll certainly have the Gold and pendant " in hand *
