  1. Well, people like him who live in greenhouses shouldn't throw stones.
  2. Anuntin did not need to even speak, useless sound bytes to pretend he was doing something, it's just white noise. We have already witnessed the strong response by the Phuket authorities to lawbreakers, and the overwhelming actions of checking the smallest details on all foreigners now taking place. All this pathetic nationalistic claptrap about it being insulting to Thailand and Thai nationals is totally over the top and unnecessary, except for a ' sheep audience ' I as somebody on a visa extension go about my day-to-day business and follow the laws no matter how small, such as up-to-date driving licences, 90-day reports etc, I make sure the rest of the family are insured for their bikes and up-to-date road tax, and no nonsense occurs on this property. That's it, that's all. Similarly, AN posters bleating and blabbing about visa revocations for the smallest infractions, don't they realize their silly comments and keyboard tantrums carry no weight whatsoever in the decision-making policies of Thailand. A complete waste of five minutes of your life typing it, as it carries no clout.
  3. Well, they can hardly revoke his visa!
  4. He meant that he wasn't comfortable doing it, and probably knows as a British person, he thinks you would be entitled to the operation FOC. The doctors here know nothing about NHS bureaucracy and waiting lists.
  5. It was a green and white plate on the taxi so I think it was a pre-arranged fee taxi from the airport. Whatever, what a clown, picking a fight because he can't smoke in a taxi moments after arriving in his paradise! Book him Danno!
  6. Agreed, They don't seem to realise how obvious it all looks and the lawyer looks like he needs a new suit, either that or his bum gun didn't work this morning....🤣
  7. I also have started to do the same and installed the free app, ' CallApp ' for monitoring caller ID and spam ID. I am getting too many nonsense calls now.
  8. Thais received the most scam calls in Asia last year Thais MADE the most scam calls in Asia last year
  9. He must have found a Genie that is going to grant him three wishes, that's as much chance as he has of an alcohol-free Songkran.
  10. @transam Yeah, but you know it's all theatre for the compo and the cameras. Look at the five in the background, all look like they lost a pound and found a penny!
  11. She has read how much he is worth through his ill-gotten gains with the Elephant charity and foundation and has now developed a severe case of PT$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$D. Why does she need 4 or 5 serious and scowly-faced supporters in the background whilst she talks to the press, is it for added support or are they all there for the shareout? And then we have the AN woke brigade coming to the rescue like the woman working in a hospital has never witnessed such behaviour as a bad-tempered male doing something stupid. Does she live in a BUBBLE? And she doesn't want him to get off lightly? Well, with all the publicity, that horse has already bolted. What happened to her previous statements of an apology would have been sufficient? Now, she's been talking to friends and that dirty word money and compensation has raised its head.
  12. ]There was a warrant out for his arrest by the court for failing to comply with previous orders and that is why he attended the police station for bail so no they don't ' leave the country ' because their egos don't allow it and they think they can bluff their way out, and on many occasions, they can. At the moment they are still gathering statements and information and deciding on further action because not only are there criminal charges involved, the situation is further complicated by the fact that he is a senior police officer, so that comes into play as well. It is not like a member of the public that just jumps bail and disappears.
  13. I have witnessed and been up close and personal with the Thai Police at very high levels and I know very well how they work.
  14. Look on the bright side, two i pads to borrow.
  15. I have never been and always been curious. Friends of mine put me off when describing the levels of poverty and they said particularly in Manila, they always felt on edge, and unable to relax. I have met many Filipinos on cruise ships, working in Thailand and the UK, as well as Cambodia. I even have a Filipina tenant in one of our houses, but I just don't fancy going there. Stories of machine guns at shopping malls, and guys who have been there 20 years suddenly cross the wrong Filipino mafia at some random beach resort. My tenant says she feels the stories are exaggerated, but she agrees Manila is a dump and she prefers living in Thailand herself. The Philippines is way too big to judge on its capital. I have heard the women can be downright vicious, and things can turn very ugly, very quickly once they get a hold of you over there, there is none of the ' Mai pen Rai ' attitude there. I like my breaks in Vietnam and Cambodia, with a bit of Koh Chang thrown in.
  16. Whatever you do, don't tell Doctor Tom, he thinks this hero is only missing his cape!
  17. He should, he helped make the bent rules.
  18. Yeah, Because that was a great photo opportunity to further his career. Why mess about with Immigration corruption when there is far more money to be earned in online gambling? When he gets up to nonsense, you allow him to play the victim and commend his previous ' deeds ' as though one cancels the other out. He tried to stamp out nothing, but none of them did, it's a pure deflection or somebody up the pole isn't getting their perceived share and you class this as an ' honest cop '
  19. Do you honestly believe he is any better than the others? I suggest it is you who doesn't know what they are talking about.
  20. OR You can pay somebody in an office outside the test centre 300 baht to sit in the mundane classroom bit and fill out your necessary paper forms. I did it yesterday. That leaves the difficult bit of handing in your old licence plus yellow book and Pink ID, copy passport and extension, doing the 2-minute competency test for depth and colour blindness, paying your 505 baht for a CAR driving licence, and off you go! I am not sitting through all that nonsense when I have had a full UK licence for the last 40-plus years, which is far harder, when we go through proper testing to pass, than a Thai driving licence. 🙂😆
  21. Are you for real? He is a Joke, Joke by name, Joke by nature.
  22. Are you for real? He's as bad as all the others.
  23. He used to love talking to the press, I wonder why it's changed?
