  1. It does seem by the reports that attempted murder charges would be justified. Members have commented that this German has attacked multiple foreigners. It seems to me he has a screw loose and seems to think he is above and beyond the law, a common misconception when they get away with extreme violence a few times. And so much for his highly skilled martial arts which involved attacking a 63-year-old Belgian man from behind. We have ways of dealing with these people where I come from. I hope the Belgian chap recovers well and gets the justice he deserves, nothing warrants this type of behaviour when they say the attack was completely unprovoked.
  2. The guy sounds psychotic. Let's hear more of the story. The problem with these people who fancy themselves as mafia types is it all comes home to roost. They are trying to put themselves in one of the reserved occupations, currently occupied by the Thai police.
  3. They'll heavily rely on AI to assist them because there isn't much real intelligence running this country.
  4. This is just an example of his contempt towards the law and those he considers beneath him.
  5. We know it's unethical, but it is impossible to change this system, it's in their DNA. It is rotten to the core. This Deputy PM, who doubles up as interior minister had decided and made his decision on the matter of the Swiss guy. So, it's game over, and he has more or less announced that by saying ' Go home and don't waste your time on an appeal ' The Swiss guy's goose is cooked as far as ever operating that business again and whatever other restrictions are put on him depending on, and decided by the courts regarding re-entry. I think we can be fairly certain phone calls by influential figures will be made to the Judge handling the case too, rightly or wrongly.
  6. I wonder what the freight charges are for an elephant to Switzerland?
  7. Just by reading this thread, it has shown that there are some sick individuals on this forum. We get all these self-righteous people on here spouting how to behave in a country where we are guests, and then a man in his early thirties meets his unfortunate demise, and this is their reaction, to be greeted with sick jokes, sarcasm and attempts at gallows humour. Hope you are proud of your comments for a cheap giggle. He is somebody's son, brother, friend, and partner and all we get on here are sick jokes and people joking he deserved it due to having a drink too many, and casual mentions of two Burmese men, who have spent countless years in prison for a crime very few people believe they committed. I hope there is merit in the old saying ' What goes around, comes around ' RIP to the man and his family and loved ones.
  8. I am finding it a good stream, plain and simple, I have an email if any issues and a great picture as well as a very cheap price. Just around 1,000 baht for six months! Peanuts!
  9. I watched the Liverpool game last night with no issues.
  10. How could any of us forget, with all the AN posters desperate to defend Thailand to remind us?
  11. None of them in the Thai government, Police or Military consider themselves ' public servants ' they consider themselves masters over a public that needs them and their wisdom indefinitely.
  12. I hope you were not under the misguided impression that one would obtain justice in Thailand.
  13. Anyway, enough about Elephant man, what's happened about that young US kid playing naughty with a horsey!
  14. Yeah, His mate lives on the 24th floor in a condominium.
  15. Why don't YOU just make proper arrangements instead of ' passing the book? '
  16. Yes, but he's a foreigner and made it clear he wants the simplest funeral. You can get a no-frills funeral including the return of ashes in an urn in the UK for 1300 GBP. He could easily have a full Thai-style funeral for that here. A lot cheaper if he follows Sheryl's link and suggestion.
  17. I'll have him down for a German or a Scandinavian, we Brits don't behave like that.
  18. What ridiculous assumptions you are making for a guy defecating in the middle of the street, in broad daylight, to then go wash himself in a Buddhist shrine, and you are saying maybe he had heatstroke or fell down some steps? A poor defence for somebody who needs mental health treatment but that is not the responsibility of Thais or anybody who witnessed the event. Your post is just plain daft in its content and could be applied to any set of circumstances. Sorry, I smashed my car into your motorbike but I had heatstroke, Sorry, I just stabbed a passerby with a knife, but I fell down the BTS stairs and my head isn't right. If he is ill, better if he goes back to his home country and seeks the correct assistance.
  19. There are always shopping malls, petrol stations, small bars with toilets, hotels, and restaurants if somebody is so desperate. The guy in the pic seemed to have all the time in the world and then went to wash himself off in the fountain.
  20. You would consider this normal behaviour?
  21. I don't think the guy in the picture would have sought out toilets anyhow. He's two sandwiches short of a picnic.
  22. It is disgusting and abhorrent to see such behaviour. I do wonder why though, in the last month or so, somebody or some people in the media are determined to show all foreigners in the worst possible light. Also with a cretin such as the one photographed, where are the Police when they are most needed? Lastly, the guy is mentally challenged and it does make me wonder how he managed to get here in the first place and managed to negotiate airports, checks and security.
  23. Who cares if he stays or goes, it's yesterday's news.
  24. Yeah, and a few glaring errors, he talks about the prices of elephants and pouring all his life savings in etc He owned only ONE, the rest were rented. The guy and his noble stories bear just a passing resemblance to the truth. He's been living large on the back of donations to the ' Foundation ' with his cars, flights and expensive rental accommodation. I am old school and have been a business guy from an early age, and we never, as a rule, squander our cash on such things. We live frugally, to build a strong business, guys who behave like this know little about business and the money is ' easy come, easy go ' when it hasn't been worked for.
