  1. My friend said it's a mix of Vietnamese, Philipinas, and a few Eastern Block girls in that corridor. He said the illegals ebb and flow from day to day depending on when the BIB are around. He hasn't been down there in a while though. So things might be different now.
  2. My friend told me that the more he tries to ignore and avoid them then the more they accost him. I suspect the issue is more about his good looks though. He can't seem to walk anywhere near them without getting grabbed. I'm sure he would envy your ability to effortlessly keep them away. Anyway, anyone who wants a comprehensive history of Thermae would be best to read the old post from 2011 on the link below. It covers the whole kit and kaboodle: https://www.stickmanbangkok.com/weekly-column/2011/01/memories-of-the-thermae-bangkoks-legendary-bar/
  3. They seem to run on the street on Sukhumvit Road starting at Soi 11 and go all the way up to Asoke Road. Good luck trying to walk through that area at night without being grabbed 3-4 times by trannies. That's what a friend told me of course.
  4. The original Thermae literally was a brothel because the upstairs part had a fishbowl with rooms. The outside of the building said it was barber though. Barber used to be the code word for knocking shops in Thailand 30-40 years ago. The downstairs was just a cafe with takeaway freelancers. Same as it still is now.
  5. That land was sold to a real estate development company around 1993 or 1994. Then the old Thermae was closed down in 1996 to make way for land redevelopment. Nothing to do with the 1992 flood.
  6. Sounds like you're providing them a white man's version of the 3-3-3 rule. Makes sense why some there are willing to provide service to you. Have you had a look down on Soi 4 lately in front of what used to be the Raja Hotel? I'm told there are lots of young Vietnamese girls there now who have good bodies and go for less. I've also heard there are many young African girls down there too. I'm just reporting info provided to me by a friend of course.
  7. I'm not familiar with exactly how the old law was written, but this sounds like wishful thinking. I suspect if the intent is to make buds illegal again then the new law would also contain wording that states that any part of the cannabis plant containing more than 0.2% THC is illegal. That's the same legal wording they already have in place now for all cannabis extract products.
  8. It's also the hub of government reshuffles and seems like another one is now due.
  9. Definitely a relief. Everyone can still possess all the useless parts of the plant that are usually discarded. In essence, by making buds illegal, they don't have to say anything about the rest of the plant because there will be no good reason for most people to grow it anyway. Since they are so concerned about public health and safety, they should do the same with alcohol. Let's have all alcohol beverages made illegal, but alcohol free beer can remain legal. That would be the safe, fair, and responsible thing to do.
  10. Please do one like this for all the strains of cannabis in Thailand too so that everyone can also pick their favorite.
  11. Do groups of young Thai men normally attack each other in the street like this when they aren't wearing their sister's clothes?
  12. Who doesn't enjoy reading poorly regurgitated and anecdotal articles that aren't newsworthy and that contain non-factual content that has been rewritten by non-journalists? At least the server runs faster now. 👍🏼
  13. 2 more punches and he would have been horizontal, looking up at the ceiling. The reff should have let it take its natural course. Tyson wasn't in any danger. No reason to stop it.
  14. Yes, very unfair to Usyk, but the reff must have felt bad for the gypsy queen in the green dress.
  15. Plus Usyk is 40 pounds lighter. Just shaved 40 pounds off Fury's ego.
  16. What a bruiser Usyk is. Jaw gets broken during the fight and still able to fight on and knock the Gypsy Queen into wobbleland for the win. Respect!
  17. I was so pleased to see Tyson Fury finally get shown the door. Too many years of watching all his manchild bravado in the media. Then in round 9 Usyk came through, cleaned his clock and punched Fury all the way into next week. Brilliant.
  18. The majority of those blind money requests you get on any dating site are male scammers (not real women), using photos stolen from social media accounts, often Nigerians, who are posing as women. Not sure what is your actual intention by going onto those sites, but if you regularly get those kinds of money requests then I wouldn't try to play games with the scammers. Not smart. I would just block them right away as you are also at risk of identity theft, the more you engage with them.
  19. I prefer the 60 Baht per kilo kind. But that variety went extinct when the Chinese invaded.
  20. What I wish is that you get proper help before the problem goes beyond repair.
  21. Runaway delusions of grandeur. Seek out psychiatric medical care. It's best treated early.
  22. What is your wife's view on the matter?
  23. Ill bet your great fun at a party.
  24. Technically you can't open a legal cannabis dispensary shop in Thailand because recreational use of cannabis is not legal in Thailand. Only medical use is considered legal, although what constitutes medical use under the current law hasn't yet been clearly defined. So all the existing shops are still operating within a gray area. Operating a gray market businesses in Thailand also means having to make payoffs to the authorities on an ongoing basis. The current prime minister is also pushing to reverse the changes made to the cannabis laws in 2022 and to reclassify cannabis back to being a class 5 criminal narcotic drug before the end of 2024. He has also expressed his intent to shut down all existing cannabis dispensary shops by April of 2025.
