Chinese prefer to rent villas for their private parties... roflmao... let's put things in perspective a more accurate quote would be:
"now that we have chased all the farang away the Chinese are drinking in their rooms and the Indians are visiting the 711s"

Any rational unbiased person can see that there is clearly something wrong with this process....

Get ready for the scamming agencies to hire at the cheapest wage and pocket the difference. Outlaw the agencies and you will see good wages.

I wish all law abiding legally applying sincere requests could be approved but that is highly unlikely. You can bet if there were not thousands of illegals running across the border every day and circumventing the proper process this would be a lesser problem for Thais. Sadly the easiest route is simply to walk across the southern border.

More likely he was chasing balloons along soi bangbang and she broke his balloon...

Unfortunately we will likely be seeing a lot more of this in the future. I am amazed the crime robbery rate is low as it is here given the plight of many poor thais particularly in rural areas. Most are good people experiencing hard times. I have to sometimes shake my head at how insulated some of the members are on this forum.

I still have a suspicion that the chinese spending may be much lower that what they say. I would not be surprised if the tour operators are not supplying much of the spending for example saying the hotels were "valued" at say 4000 a night but of course the tourist only paid 800 but the 4000 "regular" price may be recorded. Something is funny with the numbers. Have a look at the phony numbers agoda posts where you see rooms 5000 per night slashed to 700 lol.

Once you realize the only rule is there are no rules and constantly ask yourself "what is the stupidest thing this driver can do" then prepare cause there is a high probability the driver will do just that then you will be fine.

People have a choice do you want a free thinking free speaking society or do you want suppression and laws that may have one desired effect but create more problems in the long run. Unfortunately in an open society you will have good and bad. As per the leadership of a party it is up to the voters to throw them out.

Sondland a liar through and through. Changed his testimony after memory refreshed. Can it get any more corrupt? Jail Sinland.

This is a joke. This "crisis" has been created to not only scapegoat and persist Thai xenophobia but to open the door for someone in the insurance business to make a fortune off foreigners. Like Rahm Emmanuel liked to say with Obama "never waste a good crisis".

Problem is the CIA is indirectly a beneficiary what needs to be done is to clean up the secret agencies such as the CIA.

Just now, Chomper Higgot said:Explain to me how declaring (illegal drug cartels) as terrorists might save lives?
Duh... it gives the u.s. govt more freedom to take action against these cartels. I disagree with international intervention but in this case it is needed as the Mexico govt is rotten to the core and too corrupt to take action proven by decades of inaction. Where have you been under a rock?

Simply need to provide multiple entry tourist visas free of charge and free air fare and hotel for all the Indian tourists spending 10000 per day and then give the Chinese the same deal cause don't they spend 8000 per day? Problem solved!

4 hours ago, Is this real said:Respectively, Keith101, It's not the Baht, or the sunken boat that has crippled tourism.
Very few in Thailand understand what attracts a tourist from another country.
The real problem is Thailand refuses to bring in a real expert who know tourism. Bring in someone with experience in Las Vegas or New York City. Then listen and implement their suggestions.
So, what do tourist want?
A good experience at a reasonable price. β100 prices won't do it if the experience is poor.
The experience is poor because:
*Tourists are no longer welcomed. In Phuket, beach policy is very restrictive.
*Timing. If Thailand has a good attraction, it needs to be promoted for at least 3 months and then be in effect for at least 6 months. Good tourists plan ahead. Any promotion which is announced a month ahead of time, then expires after a month or two, will surely fail.
*Unsafe. No enforcement of laws and tourists aren't treated fairly.
*Rip-offs. From taxis to tuk-tuks, to two tier and price gouging.
*High Baht exchange rate. While β100 isn't enough to attract anyone, a 17% rise in the Baht certainly will cost a tourist substantially.
*Eliminating tourist attractions.
Things will never change until someone in Thailand takes it seriously.
Bringing in foreign experts means loss of face and simply won't happen

Scapegoating has long been used by the country's elites to distract from the real issues and the real opportunists. Not so difficult to put 2 and 2 together if you open your eyes.

the data about the foreign currencies changed end at the bank of Thailand
so they know on a monthly basis (Or by year) how much indians rupees have been
changed against thai baht in the country.
And with the data collected by immigration, they know also how many
people from India are coming each month or year
the rest is just mathematics
Not even close to accurate.

Good luck. I watched an Indian tourist first butt into a line at KFC to order a rice bowl probably the cheapest item on the menu. He then refilled his water bottle from one of the complimentary pitchers. Wonder where he is spending the other 9900 baht lol.

Chain Lube - What a Waste !
in Motorcycles in Thailand
Posted
why even use any lube? the benefit of some lube may be cancelled by the grit sticking to it? why not just clean the chain with kerosene?
