I live in Hua Hin and have for the last 20 years. The times I go to BKK, the air pollution is obvious and very visible.
However, here in Hua Hin, I don't see any signs of air polution. Being right on the coast we have the offshore breezes. So I don't get it!!
you dont see it but it is there... it blows in from the north in the high season bringing dangerous levels same as bkok and pattaya

A real plus for medical specialists and doctors in Thailand, who, contrary to what some TV posters think, can be as good as specialists and doctors in other, supposed more affluent first world countries.
I hope he is on the path to success but its a big difference between random stimulation and control of a limb however science is advancing and hopefully the future will be bright for this young man.

They really need to investigate the role of the Poles and Russians in mass killings by the Russian and Polish police prior to and during WW2 as well as Nazi Germany.

Thais don’t celebrate Christmas, just like you don’t celebrate Ramadan and Buddha days. Simply no need.
Tip for you ... dump the girlfriend!

Hua Hin does suffer from really poor air quality. Had a friend with lung issues, who attempted to live there, and ended up in near pulmonary arrest.
sounds like pattaya across the water... but in pattaya he had a better chance of a happy ending...

They always hear me...
This is not entirely true. In Thailand 90 percent drive with windows rolled up aircon on and stereos or phones distracting them. These noisy motorbikes need to be taken off the road and the drivers fined heavily. This is noise pollution at its worst.

Nobody is forced to work for Grab. If the riders don't like the pay, then they are free to quit and look for another job. Same goes for the meter taxis, who say that the meter-fare is to low and use this as an excuse to rip off customers.
this could be restated as the infamous "let them eat cake"

Yes the directors of the schools drive new mercs by charging ridiculous extra fees for everything to the poor thais while the govt adds restrictions for already underpaid english teachers and think they can fill the gap with non native speaking Filipinos. No wonder their system is failing it like the garbage collection and most everything else is corrupt from the top down. And regarding Cambodia the ones who have had the opportunity to learn english are good speakers.

I keep up with China political policies as best I can, it is hard because of the censorship. Reason? I own stock in China.
The latest figures from analysts I trust is 3-5% growth. And I see that as a stretch. And it is dropping like a rock.
Why? China was a great place for factories to invest and reap the profits. Chinese government is trying to turn the corner and turn it into a service based economy. WAY to soon. And it is showing. The market is in a nosedive.
A couple of days ago China released a huge stimulus package to try and curb the downturn, For the housing market.
There is a huge disparity between the have, and have nots. Hopefully this will help the working class Chinese people. But, IMO it will only plunge the economy into a deeper hole.
Chinese are trying to stop the tariffs, it is starting to drain their economy and hurt the party. There is a huge push for Chinese loyalty in China now to try and keep the moral up and spread an anti US propaganda.
Now on the flip side the US market is in a bull run. I own some stock in a Dow jones fund and it is delivering over 10% for me. And up a whopping 15-18% for the year.
Chinese market is on a slide, the mom and pop shops that used to borrow money to put in the market are drying up and the small investors like me are seeking greener pastures. As well as companies getting squeezed by the trade war.
Of course the Singapore riots are not helping China. I believe that eventually China will swoop in and squash the last remaining democracy in the region. It is just a matter of time.
Also no matter who wins the next election in the US, I think the tariffs will be kept in place. Democrat or Republican it doesn't matter.
The take away is, it is all about the money period. China is not the place to be now and it will sink into a more modest growth model. And, IMO with out open markets, and transparent markets. It will continue to slide.
Not that I really care at this point. IMO it is basically over until they change the way they do business!
As of today those are the facts Jack.. haha
some good points but i think you mean the riots in Hong Kong...

We can joke all we want about the keystone cops, boys in brown or whatever but in many ways they are effective if determined to get something done minus payoffs etc. I believe they have ears to the ground with informants and contact with the general public when finding fugitives. Kudos to them for getting these guys.

To suggest you get gigabit 'everywhere even rural' is insane.. I know folks a few kms further out into the sticks past me who struggle to get 20 mbit adsl.. No fiber..
I know a guy in his 30 million baht villa, on a main road, 20kms from chiang mai international airport who cant get a phone line and has to use mobile internet.Do your testing with testmy.net forget speedtest and any recommended by the providers lol.

Probably a chinese company renting to chinese tourists and using whatever means possible to circumvent laws for profit. I once rented a condo from airbnb in bkok and they had a rather elaborate system where you would go to a specific marked bike and use the code to open a lock on the bike which then held your key lol.

This sounds odd to say the least the guy has a bag with 120000 in it and valuables and he doesn't keep an eye on it but somehow the staff have it?

Of course the whistleblower should be revealed. If not who's to say this wasn't the creation of the deep state? Chuck Schumer is on tape saying there is a thousand ways the intelligence community can get Trump. With the NSA, Homeland Security, CIA, FBI and others all wiretapping Americans how easy it would be to eavesdrop then get someone to come forward to reveal private conversations. You can bet equal or more incriminating statements have come from dozens of Presidents including Obama who have spoken in private. This is likely a setup and a very convenient distraction from deep state Epstein.

The Stephen Miller / 45 agenda on immigration is rather obvious. They want to limit immigration in general. They want zero refugees. They are OK with a limited number of high skilled / wealthy mostly white people. No more bring me your tired and poor. It's an extremist far right wing white nationalist immigration agenda.
That is simply untrue. In fact Trump has lobbied for increased numbers of immigrants from what have become under repesented countries such as those in eastern Europe. Why not take in some of the suffering Ukranians and such. Canada has had good success with this.
