IN PASSING , I arrived in Khao San Rd in the early hours of the morning July 1982 , after an over nighter from Surat Thani , it was still dark , the PB guest house was locked and I was gagging for a <deleted> . I shuffled up and down the street for a while before deciding the small gap between the PB and the Krung Thai bank would have to suffice for my ablution . I was sweating , the hairs on my arms were up and I could clench my twitching sphincter no longer ... it was a shocker ! the relieve was instant ! At 6 am the front door was unlocked and I had my first taste of what was to become a home from home for a few years .... the sleazy snooker hall was empty , momenterily void of vice , the makers and takers , pushers and police were all sleeping . In the guest house mr Lou welcomed me with tea and a Samit , a room in the dormitory and the prospect of something spicier for later in the day ...... I'd been there ten minutes, already I felt at home ................

I should add the my therapist reassured me that " things are rarely aver as bad as they seem" , and that the only things worth worrying about were those things that I had control over ........

catastrophic thinking as you describe , is associated with depression and trauma .... I have been there myself ..... Talking to a psychologist ( therapist) was for me the most extraordinary experience , and I can genuinely say , that in the course of 18th months he turned my life around and set it on a much clearer path ..... personally I could not recommend Talking therapy (CBT )more highly . As you say ..... chances are a dr . may want to prescribe an anti depressant for a short period to break the cycle that you sound locked in ...... they take about 6 weeks to work ...... and they do work ! but they are not the answer to your troubles .... but can help bring to you to a place where you are strong enough and UP enough to talk through your issues ....... hope that helps ..... just a bit ......

Perhaps you live in a world with no objects or art in your life that enhance your life and that you choose to live with ........ bye then ! To the OP ..... you are looking for a freight forwarding agent ....... your Aussie agent will have agents in Thailand to facilitate the export and customs clearance in Thailand . Davies Turner are a large uk based Company who have agents all over the world .... I have used them for 15 years , they probably operate out of Australia too ... worth a try

Now apparently i've asked some pretty dim questions in the past , but I have to acknowledge that detail , and tax codes are really not my thing ! Next year I expect to spend more than 6 months in country , not much more , but more . I am registered for tax in the UK ,will this exempt me from paying tax again in Thailand on money brought into the country ? In the 80's I used to go through something called "tax clearance" before exiting the country after similar length visits ..... does a similar system still apply ? .... not asking for a friend !

just for your piece of mind Frits ..... I have been shipping 40ftHQ full of furniture around the world for a period of 40 years ... I do not need any guidance on buying and selling furniture .....

thanks ...... but many years ago ... JJ operators ( the railway ? ) sold long term leases on areas in the market that wanted to develop ..... just sayin" ! So those guys selling that I see every week are in quere street if immigration turn up ? they've been there for years ....

many Stalls in JJ are owned ,,,, my GF owns x 4 ..... I want to buy another x 4 ...... her payment to JJ is 1800 per month .... per stall .As a business owner are you suggesting I still can't run that stall myself ?

ive been offered a group of stalls at Chatuckak market to buy ...... as a foreigner can I buy them or does my gf have to buy them ? once bought does any one know if furniture sales is one of the restricted businesses for foreigners ? I see there are a few farang selling at JJ Market , those that I spoke to never had any issues with immigration ..... just interested to here some feedback on this ....

I pulled a drowning young Thai student out of a under current up at Mae Rim waterfalls many many years ago ....... not so much as a thank you from her or her assembled friends who just looked on .......... I put it down to shock !

my gf had one ..... the effect of no period dragged on for about 6 months ..... then she started having them every two weeks ...... it took a year to come back to normal ..... we did not try it a second time .......... on the plus side during that time she didn't have a single migraine which she is prone to

I went in August last year ..... it was pretty quiet . Bayon in particular was epic . I didn't see any plastic chairs at sunrise . some great places to eat in town .. id defiantly go again .
