as a frequent flier between Uk and Asia I rarely travel anything other than economy ...... generally a good bottle of Chablis just before off and one of the( £50-£80) extra legroom seats are enough for a reasonable 11 hours ...... Having said that , as I have got older I regularly drop in to India on the way as a means of breaking the flight up and see that as far better value than Biz or Prem Econ . The last business class flight I have was overnight LHR to Delhi with a spoilt brat of a 4 year old kicking my row of seats from behind ...... traveling with his totally of of control mother !!! v

you pass on most if not all seafood ....... more fool you I say ....... I eat it every day ..... from raw to crisp fried ....... As for Uk cuisine ..... that would rather depend on where you eat ...... urban high street ... awful ........ or rural retreat .... think pan fried Woodcock with Chantrells ..... some of the best Game in the world , to say nothing of the common wood pigeon lightly smoked and carved thin with a salad ...... Wild Sea trout ... the list is endless really if you know where to look ... or have deep pockets .

surprisingly the nam Prik at 7/11 is really good and low level gapi .... worth trying ..... often !!

try it in late September when the new intake of Uni students are flying to UK ..... noisy pandemonium ... I did it once out of Pudong 2 weeks after 9/11 ..... At check i'm thinking this is going to be a shocker ..... then out of the blue got upgraded to 1st ... which id never experienced before or since ... I was pretty much poured off the plane after propping up the Bar for most of the flight and downing 3 bottle of Pouilly-Fumé ... ... mind you my single ticket had just cost £600 , as I was determined not to fly back via Pakistan when id been just before 9/11 ...
