How can you feel not wanted? How many countries in the world offer a person that´s only been 60-90 days in the country a possibility to get a retirement visa the same day in only a couple of hours? That with the same relaxed request of money in the bank or income as well as not many paper, in a fairly developed country?

You can just take the money in the bank that is only 800K baht here, in relation to other countries. 800K baht is about 25K dollar.

Phillipines: Between 50-75K dollar for retirement visa

Malaysia have a special program for 10 years. Financials 87-125K dollar and a monthly income of 2500 dollar. For regular retirement 37K dollar.

Vietnam do not have a retirement option, and can not be considered an option due to the lack of development.

Cambodia is totally out of the question. Lack of development and health care puts a stop to that directly.

Check your facts: Phillipines is a bank deposit of US$10,000. Moreover the deposit can be withdrawn and used to purchase a property.

  2. The Philippines Government requires a US $10,000 deposit which can be used to puchase an apartment. They require evidence that you receive a pension, but they don't need certification from the applicant's embassy. Pension correspondence will suffice.

I don't believe 90 day reporting is required and Filipino pensioner discounts are extended to expat retirees in some instances. Just saying.

Interesting to note that the US FBI is doing a better job in monitoring such pedophiles in Thailand, then the Thai police.

It's not only the FBI. The Australian and New Zealand Police also have a presence in Thailand. The Target is Paedophiles and Human Traffickers.

If you have information that will lead to the apprehension of individuals who traffic in human misery, contact NVADER.

Checkpoint? Would be far better to have an undercover passenger use the cabs and take note of which ones didn't use a meter, then round them up later. That way the drivers would fear every passenger.

That is what many Land Transport Safety Authorities do. Policing Taxis is also a public safety issue. Every aspect of Thai Land Transport Management is left wanting.

While Thailand has a poor record other countries do not necessarily fare better, regardless of reports from worldwide agencies.

BS Look at the statistics. They speak for themselves. Road Safety Management in Thailand is an utter disgrace. They have the highest rates of road death and road trauma in the world.
