Why are retired expats denied the right to bear arms. I can say solly like the best of them.

20,000 are dead and it could be much less. It doesn´t matter if they die from bombs or bad, stupid, uneducated driving (often without driver license). And it costs the country billions every year. If farangs would kill 100 Thais per year, they would check us much more. If bad driving kills ten thousands, nobody cares. That´s strange.
If the grinning idiots know the actual statistical cost of a life, you'd think they would take effective action. However, whilst there remains no actual political cost, they will sit on their little balls and continue to do nothing but twiddle their thumbs.

1 hour ago, Is this real said:First thing to reduce traffic casualties.....
Hire a large group to patrol the roads to enforce traffic laws. Currently, there is no enforcement of speed limits, drunk driving, tailgating, reckless driving, or any other. These should all be policed and enforce.
Maybe call this force "Police."
Second thing is to provide quality helmets that actually offer some protection. Really, no such thing at the amount. They are expensive, at least B10,000. The government could subsidize them and bring the cost down to B1,000, by not waste money on submarines, armored personnel carriers, and other weapons of war that Thailand has no use for.
Successful international road safety strategies entail what are known as the three Es: Education, Enforcement, and Engineering. Thailand has never demonstrated any willingness to adopt any facet of this sratategy.

Don't worry, be happy. Life is cheap, down here in the land of smiling low IQ idiots.
Highest in road fatalities. Highest in child swimming fatalities. Highest in every criterion that demonstrates a total lack of humanity. Scum of the earth.

Meanwhile, in the USA, 34 dead and 50 wounded from mass shootings. Did these embassies make the same warning to their citizens traveling in America? I feel much safer here than I ever did there.
Why would they? Mass shootings are a normal occurance in the USA. Enter at your own risk.

Would someone tell me again, the problem with the Philippines?
According to one Filipino critic, Duterte's "war on drugs" has seen 29,000 Filipinos assassinated by Police death squads. Duterte doesn't have a very high opinion of sex tourists or paedophiles either.

And they allow these low IQ knuckle scrappers, devoid of self restraint, to be armed?
Government down, the country is clearly run by morons.

People here should not try to make Thailand an over-regulated country like in the Western hemisphere. BUT: The Taxi Mafia in Phuket is unbearable, Pattays is a piece of cake in comparison. I just wish one day tourists would stop using them.
If there is one country that needs regulations, it's Thailand. The country is full of recalcitrants and thieves, who deserve public flogging morning, noon and night.

What are things coming to, when a 60 year old teacher, yes a teacher, a person who is charged with protecting/ caring for children, and the disgusting pervert was having sex with her.
Her parents should be horse whipped for clearly allowing it to happen, probably been getting money off the pervert.
European paedophiles usually seek employment in jobs involving children too.

Please pay attention readers. We have a lot of false information and speculation in the above the story and the comments section .
The Canadian man not American, Joseph Villeneuve. Was 43 years old. His girlfriend of 2 years now. Mid twenties. They both knew the streets well and were visiting her friends that night at local restaurant, then onto a local bar. Joseph spoke of his love for his Thai friend in very high regard and respect. To cheapen someones love ,friendship and there intentions without any of the facts . Is absolutely wrong . Please pay your respects and move along.
Positive thoughts and facts only moving forward during the family’s mourning proces
Your point is? The behaviour of this moron shows not only a total disregard for his own worthless life, but also the life of his innocent girlfriend. None of this can be deemed to be an accident. It was probably inevitable that he would kill himself. The tragedy is that he also taken the life of a young woman, whom he claimed to respect. His actions demonstrated nothing but disrespect. You don't deliberately endanger the lives of those you supposedly love.
Condolences to the Girlfriend's family and friends.

They (the Arabs) are the authors of their own misfortune. Behave like a moron, get treated like one.
Unlicensed Thai drivers are unlikely to be stupid enough to draw attention to themselves.

I'd say the biggest threat to regional peace are the sociopaths in Washington. How many have they murdered in South East Asia alone?
The rise of China and Russia as dominant world powers can only be welcomed. We are now witnessing the decline of the "Evil Empire", whose army's sole purpose is to steal oil and gold, on behalf of Wall Street scum and the Military Industrial Complex.

"She was charging 1000 to 3000"
There are others, ranging from massage shops to driving schools, offering two year driver licenses @ 10,000 to 25,000 baht. These people have direct connections into local Land Transport Offices. Thai style: Scotch Whisky plus loads of cash. They also have connections inside Immigration.

After all is said and done, he and he alone is responsible for this mess. Dodgy constitution which isn't even the one that got 'approved' two years back.
Prayut and Suthep should face summary execution. Their guilt is already established: treason and murder.

From the proposed introduction of road safety demerit points to the waiving of visa fees to favoured ethnicities, it's clear that the advisors to the Thai Government are bat shit crazy.
