  1. Does anyone know where I can get this brand of camera in Pattaya. http://gopro.com/products/

I have been told that they are available by a friend but he could not remember which shop he saw them in.

I have been to many shops and have been told that they are not available in Thailand by one. That said

the assistant may well not have heard of this type and gave the standard Thai response...

Sorry for the misleading subject line but the more views, well you know. :D

  2. I was speaking to him yesterday as I was walking into Central Festival just before he got on his box.

He says he works 3-4 hours each day with the permission of the Central Festival management and the

BiB cannot touch him as he is on private property...?

He says makes about ฿5,000 per day and will be here until April. No prizes for guessing his nationality. :D

  3. It is from Northpoint Condominium. It looks like the area where there are large gas tanks at the front of the building though I did not hear any explosion. The Fire, Police and Ambulance services were on the scene very promptly and now the fire is under control.

All of the local shops have been closed down and the power has been turned off. The Electricity Company already has trucks on site. I counted about six fire engines.

    See photos depicted below:

  4. There is one in North Pattaya. From the Dolphin Roundabout head along Naklua Road and it is just before Soi 18 (Wongamat) on the left hand side. There may be one in South Pattaya but I am not sure of the location.

  5. 3 pages on this scum of the earth. 10 pages on Jeff Savage.

At least we all have our priorities straight.

Mike, (Mikhail) is also a qualified Pilot based at Nongprue airfield where I fly from and thus a friend of mine and the local aviation community.

We are all shocked by the allegations.

Can we please delete this type of comment above. Innocent until proven guilty in my book.

  6. F1fanatic, his girlfriend is holding up fine. Despite getting a enormously large (larger than the Thai lottery) payout from Noel's ex employer Rank Xerox (I was one of the executors of his estate) she stills to this day continues her job as a secretary and has never found a new significant other.

My wife and I met up with her just last Saturday as Noel's Mum and older brother are currently here on holiday. Noel's Mum at the age of 84 still comes to Thailand each year on holiday and is as sharp as a tack. It is easy to see where Noel got his abundant wit, humour and wisdom from. :-)

  7. Do you still have Fox News?

    Barry

Still have Fox on BTV, however I don't watch it (just for amusement), as it is totally biased.

    Huh? It's fair and balanced!

    No spin, right! :)

  8. I have just arrived home in North Pattaya from Jomtien. Shenanigans Jomtien was open for business as usual although the Avenue branch was closed. I came back via Walking Street where although nearly everywhere was closed one could still get a sneaky beer same as in the Jomtien Beer Bars.

Coming back on second road still a small amount of both road and foot traffic. No sign of any fires and a limited Police presence. :)

  9. Anyone who does bungy jumping or any other activity where you voluntarily place your life in someone elses hands in Thailand has to be completely crazy anyway...

Really? I've been skydiving for the last 36 years and haven't killed anyone yet and yes, we have a skydiving operation here in Thailand too!!! You need to get out more!

joskydive, please post details or PM me with your operation. I am interested. Are you thaiskyadventures by chance?

    Cheers.

  10. Quote from the PDN article: ''Rescue officers present at the scene immediately rushed him to the hospital for treatment.''

What a load of crap! I happened to be walking past with my wife and there was an ambulance there from The Sawang Boriboon Foundation and the medics treated the bloke at the scene only. The Policeman took his notes then left followed by the ambulance. One presumes because he had no recourse to pay.
