  1. I am 67 and pay about 10,000 a month , over the term of the insurance I have had 2 colonoscopy and had 2 operations for AF - Catheter ablation and a few other minor treatments . For me definitely worth while and has saved me a lot of money and stress . I considered reducing the payments this year but once you go to a lower cover they will not then let you go back , so decided to keep the current plan . I have a few exclusions in relation to the heart but managed to get cover for the catheter ablation as it was diagnosed as atrial flutter rather than atrial fibrillation. The catheter ablation was about 700,000 a shot and I don't think it would help if you were also worried about raising funds , maybe at short notice .
  2. I just did this in Samui - they only needed my passport . Also have not updated a TM30
  3. IMO until the situation is much clearer I would not worry about a few 100,000 baht - For instance , I was told , rental income from overseas is tax exempt . If you clearly need to pay tax then file but if not wait for more clarity . But up to you .
  4. Same in uk - no need to file unless you are liable .
  5. My account told me if you are not liable to pay tax you do not need to file a return .
  6. Bangkok Hospital has a very good heart centre and For AF I can recommend Dr Sharmila https://www.bangkokhearthospital.com/en/doctor/dr-sharmila-sehli
  7. 'The law was amended so that long stay foreigners did not have to re-submit a TM 30 when returning to their 'permanent' address.' I assume this is the case . I stay at Novotel in Bangkok and am sure they would process passports correctly .
  8. Yes I use TM30 I filled in on my return from Europe last year - have stayed in a number of hotels in BKK since and I assume all hotels have a standard procedure .
  9. Don't know RE TM30 I filled mine out after my last trip overseas in May and I have been to BKK many times since - TM30 was accepted without issue .
  10. 2 days ago - No queue and few waiting upstairs . I assume once documents are in order you are given a ticket to present upstairs and then told to return in a week when process is complete .
  11. There was a couple in front of me presenting paperwork for retirement extension - did not seem to be an issue ?
  12. Try an afternoon visit - much calmer I went today at 2.30 pm for proof of address for driving licence / only 3 in the queue downstairs and not many waiting upstairs with tickets / in and out in about 10 minutes
  13. company is not mentioned - company name is not my name
