  1. Here is my take for what it is worth. Racism is rampant through all the institutions. It is not as obvious as other countries because it is veneered with the Thai smile and obligatory courtesy that is the Thai protection measure. Beneath the smile the mechanics are fastidiously working against you as a foreigner.

The average Thai bod is not immune to the brainwashing that emanates from the institutions, especially school. The average person is however somewhat detached from doing anything to help or hurt a foreigner beyond price gouging. Then there are the criminal elements who see an opportunity to steal and scam from foreigners in the knowledge that the authorities will be so biased towards them that even the most feeble excuses will succeed against a foreigners solid evidence.

If you challenge and end up in the Justice system then lawyers take over the abuse whilst extracting as much money as possible on the pretense of helping you.

Racism is a curse on this country and the deceitful courteous treatment you get belies the truth of what will be done to hurt you. Of course sometimes the facade will break and then people die. No one gives a hoot!

Have you considered changing the people you hang around with? There is plenty of Racism on Thai Visa against Thais.

And now read his/her post again. Plus the other one he/she made on this topic. Just activate a couple of braincells.

  2. The people who nominate the, most frequent stated, members for poster of the year really need to think again. It all shows the shallowness of many on this forum. The inability to read properly, and judge a posters different and inconsistent (personal)attitude on various topics, is apparent on here.facepalm.giffacepalm.gif

A simple mind is a joy forever, one can conclude. The only the lonely people who spent their waking hours onThaivisa must now at least have a topic to fall back on during their depressive moods. Bless them.sad.pngsad.png

I would say, let the girl win. She needs it. thumbsup.gifthumbsup.gif

  3. But why are they always talking about the German mass murderer? Let's discuss a few Thai dudes who got away with mass murder. Or how would Thailand feel if a few European countries reenacted what happened at the thammasat university? I am sure they would love it.

    - There is mass murder and there is GENOCIDE

Let's not forget the shoah was 7 MILLIONS people killed.

    - It's not "reenactment" it's promotion.

Let's not forget the shoah was 7 MILLIONS people killed.

I really cant be assed googling it, but what does, shoah mean, and why should it mean anything to me?

Please dont shove your believes or suffering down my throat, you are only acting in the same way as those you claim to despise.

    Ignorance is a bliss.

  4. First I guess you are referring to Farang men and Thai wives.

Second, I think the company you keep and people you meet are a good indicator of the vast percentage of Farang men that know bugger all of what a real relationship means.

Meaning, since near all were never desirable to women at their home, they came over here with there inept manliness and lack of any great articulation, and you get what you so astutely observed.

I doubt you are a rung higher.

In a previous post, and I reiterate, I look forward to the day when I see more astute, handsome, well to do farangs partnered with same in Thai girls.

I'm beginning to see it a little in BKK but not near the Farang enclaves.

Marriages of well do to Farangs with Thai wives are exactly as what I see in the west but, these are people of the same socio-economic background, appearance and are driven people.

    The rest are...well....extremely average.

    Think I'm full of shit?

Have a quick glance of the Thai people observing you and your wife and then tell me honestly where your marriage fits.

    Ok, I'll tell you;

If you're "Joe Average" with his Thai sweetheart wife, then it doesn't matter how good you think your marriage is, Thai people will look down on you.

Must be a shame, when deep down, the people in the country you call home really, honestly, and truly think your marriage is a farce....and I bet you know it.

im from a place called gainsborough in lincolnshire,

if your ever there, go in any pub,,any,, and ask how jake did with the ladys,,

    i was good at it,,

    and your other point,

do you really think it bothers me what others think of me, when im out and about with my wife,?

i dont care what you think and i dont care what thais think,

if no bodys got the balls to knock on my door and say it to my face, do you really think im botherd what they think of say?

your one of the ones on here who cant bare to think that some can be happy without having to buy a wife,

back to your bridge,, run along

An arrogant post followed by a very naive post. 1 thing they have in common is lack of respect.

Pigeonjake, what you write as a response to Blackfox is understandable but it seems that you totally do not care or understand of how your Thai wife must sometimes feel what others talk, behind her back probably, about you two. You must know that it happens and to say i do not care shows in my view a lack of respect, and understanding of, to, your wife her feelings. Or do you want to tell us that she is immune for that ?

  5. Don't know any restaurant owner, so i guess I shouldn't try it with fresh lemongras. You can also buy it in any asia shop, can't see why it should be so expensive for thais to get it in germany.

Just compare the price a thai in Germany has to pay in the 'asia-shops' to the price at the local thai markets, then you would see the price in Germany is by 3 - 4 times that much ! That's just why I recommended packing your luggage with as much lemongrass as fits in, because you can surely get the double price for it when selling to an interested person.

However you really need to speak to a thai restaurant owner first, in order to get more info. Try to find one who might be interested. Also talking about other than lemongrass, spices perhaps !?

Bringing cheese into Thailand, a sure bet, but you must be aware when they start to unload luggage from the airplane to the boxcars, it is already inside a 38 degree environment, and the longer it stays there, then later in the Taxi trunk, all your Camemberts would be long gone and melted away, same with chocolate !!!

The best cheeses to bring into Thailand is Padano Hard Cheese, Parmiggiano hard cheese, vacuum packed they easily pass a short period of warming until you arrive at a place where you can refrigerate them.

Other cheese that is perfect for brining to Thailand is the canned goats or sheep cheese in salty brine, you can buy in the turkish stores.

Yes of course you need to know an Italian restaurant owner on the Thailand side, who will buy them from you.

I don't know of anyone ever having been checked by Thai customs . . . . . it's allowed to import private goods up to 10,000 THB worth. A bag full of Padano cheese (if ever asked, just you say you love to eat this one with spaghetti ! aroi aroi !!) will pass, no problem.

Great! How wonderful! Let's just give some German traveler advice on how he can make chump change yet still have to navigate the customs restrictions regarding the importation of live plant material/seeds. I'm sure he will be very popular- because as we all know- every country in the world would just love the possibility that their agro/eco system could be disrupted by a guy that wants to make some chump change, Oh! And let's give that advice- (on essentially breaking the law)- on a public forum. We should also add statements like, "I don't know anyone ever having been checked by Thai customs", as if that makes it somehow less illegal. After having received such splendid advice- I am secure in the knowledge I have now been adequately prepared for global travel, and I am confidant that the next time I land, I am going to pass through immigration- and when I get stopped by customs and they find the live rat that has stowed away in my bag- I will be sure to follow your advice, hold that rat up high in the air, and say, "Aroi aroi!" Allowing the rat and I to go prancing gracefully on our merry way!

I noticed that we have a member by the name of Rolandrat. He must have entered the kingdom on the way you describe. blink.png

  6. People on here responding to a troll like Otocheater, how silly can it get ?

I have seen worse...... Besides sin sod has been beaten to death. If you

paid it, those guys say it is great. If you have not paid it, it seems like

the most moronic thing to do in the world, buy your wife. So more

fun to out a troll and see his pathetic defense....

To ignore a troll seems better to me. Anyway, the level of intelligence on this forum, and in LOS as a whole, is not too big. Money and presented status seems to be to be the sole parameter on here. Lots of naive posters on this forum who do not even realise how silly and insecure they come across. Living with, or around, their gfs/wifes families but not even speaking the language and claiming to understand how it all works.

On Topic, do what makes you happy and do not look back.

5 posts ... 3 of them calling others out as Trolls.

Understands the concept of being 'on-Topic'

    Interesting ... coffee1.gif

This comment made me think alot.

Care to elaborate on your, undoubtedly personal, experiences.

  9. OP is just a trolish attentionseeker with all his topics of late. This one must be to counterbalance all his previous topics, where he belittled the thais. Glad to see he feels happy again. The other part of his reality will sink in soon again.

    Happy as you go !!!
