  1. I used a Norman Nippy engine (friction wheel drive) in the front carrier of my old 28 inch 'Speedwell' push bike. Ran the exhaust down alongside one of the front forks, made the clutch lever latchable, converted a Sturmy Archer thumb gear change to use as the throttle, put a cardboard box over the engine...could do about 40 to 50 miles per hour but was a bit dangerous at that speed. Bloody great fun though.

Did you used to watch "McGuiver" perchance?...

  2. Agreed, Paragon's is a bit loud and the atmosphere doesn't warrent the price you pay. Has anyone been to the food court on the ground floor of Central Chid Lom? Quite a strange set up, in that alot of the dishes are displayed pre-cooked in plastic containers which you then select and warm up. There is a great selection there and you can sit outside on a veranda area which is quite nice. The middle Eastern/Lebonese food there is particularly nice.

  3. AFF: SECOND LEG INTACT AND ON COURSE

KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 1, 2007) - The Asean Football Federation (AFF) are studying the relevant reports of the Match Commissioner and Referees’ Inspector with respect to the first leg of the Asean Football Championship final match between Singapore and Thailand that ended in a 2-1 win for the host at the National Stadium in Singapore yesterday.

According to a spokesman with the federation, action would be taken against anyone guilty of wrongdoing in the first leg based on the reports submitted.

He added the AFF have sought and obtained assurances from the Football Association of Thailand (FAT) that all arrangements with regard to the second leg to be held in Bangkok on 4th February 2007 are intact and on course.

Further, the spokesman said the security officers attached to the AFF and to the Singapore and Thailand teams would be meeting in Bangkok at 9am on February 2 to review all security arrangements with respect to the second leg match.

  4. I was looking forward to going to the second match in Bangkok on Sunday to give my support to Thailand. If they are going to behave like they did last night then do they really deserve support from local ex-pats like myself?

I was planning to go as well, I seriously they don't pull that sort of sh-it again.
