  1. Hi,

I've got a few friends over from London this week who want to go to some decent bars (not clubs as its a "school night" tonght...) whilst they are here. They are into funky house etc and don't want to see the girly bars :o .

I have already taken them to Sirocco (in state tower), Tapas (in Silom) and Bed SupperClub.

Has anyone got any other sugestions? Some of my friends have suggested Koi and Crystal bar on Soi 20, has anyone been there?

    Cheers.

  2. Dental Design on Soi Asoke (not far from Cowboy entrance :o ) was recommended to me by a couple of friends and I have since used their services on a few occasions and would definatly recommend them. Excellent service, very professional and not too expensive.

  3. I can now "sign in" to PSN however when I try to play online, I frequently get cut off... annoying.

On a similar topic I still haven't figured out how to download trial version of games. Do you have to go via the playstation shop icon in the startup screen? Or do i have to go the the sony website via the web browser? Also is it even possible to download games with the internet connection at the moment?

  4. Ha Ha, you've got ya PS3 and now you want a HDTV!!! Same as me mate.

I was looking today in Carrefour on Rama 4, they have got 32" HDTV Samsungs (not LCD but "Slim Technology") for 21k Baht. Not bad I thought...

  5. I am firmly in the 0-30 group and love goin out pubbing and clubbing, however, I still think that the vast majority of Thai nightclubs play their music far too loud. It's gotta be a bad sign when you have ringing ears for 24 hours following a night out.

  6. On this forum, only westerners can copy other westerners music.

If a Thai copies then its, not original/creative etc

What relavence does your trollish post have to the OP's question Donz? I'm suprised they have much Thai music in Sydney anyway...

Jamesyboi, I suggest you listen to Endrophine, Silly Fools and Hum. However as Jbowman said it would be useful to know what genre you prefer, ie country, rock, pop etc etc

  7. Are you guys still having problems accessing the Playstation Network? I could get onto it before the earthquake, but ever since I have been unable to sign in, even tho I can access normal websites via the browser (albeit very slowly).

I use True 512 package. Could this be the problem?

AlixJames: What is Fight Night like? I might get it at the weekend...

  8. for the record many sharks also roam the world's beaches chewing off human limbs and leaving the rest of the victim uneaten and left to drown, that's pretty cruel too.

I hope you are joking when spouting such misinformed drivel.

  9. if you respect bargirls, you feel free to carry on wai-ing them, but while doing it if you here some one laughing that will be me.

    BB

    I'll join ya BB!!! :o

  10. "WHo gives a ####, its an animal, we are humans.

We are the superior and animals are to be our slaves/food etc.

Kill them all, the slower the better " Donz

    What a <deleted>.

  11. Resistance online - PS3. Awsome.

Your getting onto the servers from within Thailand? Its not working for me :o

You have to register for Playatationonline, just put in a made up US or HK address etc.

It might be that you are having trouble in the last few days due to the internet problems following the recent earthquake in Korea...

It wasnt working 2 weeks ago, and it still isnt working now.. Your managing to connect from within Thailand?

I haven't tried it for a couple of days, but yeah I have been playing it from Thailand last week and the week before.

  12. I have just found UBC's official explaination as to why they charge this money...

Q7 Why is the payment of Baht 2,700 still necessary when I relocate or move the equipment myself?

A7 Normally, when relocating the reception equipment, the UBC Customer Service Center must be notified in advance. However, in cases when the member has already relocated the equipment himself, there could still be inconsistencies in the installation or the reception is not crystal clear. The requirement of the Baht 2,700 relocation fee includes a professional installation service, a warranty on the picture quality, and after sales service without any additional charges. (Except in cases where there is loss of equipment or equipment damage where the member is held responsible). This can be done online by just clicking add/move/remove an outlet. :o

What a load of rubbish. When they have got you as a customer and they know that there are very few alteratives, they screw you :D

  13. Thats not a bad idea bdenner, see if I can change the correspondace address and claim that I am still living in my old place, perhaps I could get the bill sent to my work address or a PO Box, cos I do miss the magasine with all the latest fast food deals.

  14. Yeah I agree, they are totally taking the piss because they know they can get away with it.

I really don't want to pay them 2,600 for nothing!! I think I might try Lopburi's suggestion of getting them to fax me a bill every month!! lol

  15. After moving apartment from one condo to another in Bangkok last month, I have just called UBC to get them to change their computer details so that my bills are sent to my new address.

Although I moved the box myself and have been watchin UBC in my new place now for the last few weeks, they want to charge me 2,600 Baht, just for them to change their computer details so my monthly bills are delivered to my new address!!!!!!!!! :o

I then asked how much it would cost to cancel my existing subscription and start a new one... 2,000 Baht! Yes it's cheaper :D

Are they taking the piss?!! Is there any way that I can live in my new place and pay my UBC subscriptions without the barcoded bills?

Has anyone else experienced this farce?

  16. I would never eat Shark fin Soup. It is wasteful, cruel and unecessary. Sharks take a long time to reach sexual maturity and are unable to replenish their numbers quickly, furthermore many types of sharks are already endangered.
