The food in London - while better than in the past - doesn't even begin to compare with just San Francisco, never mind the rest of the U.S.

In another 100 years England might have caught up with America, but for now, stick to big breakfasts or Indian food.

Couldn't agree more Ulysses. The US boasts the pinnacle of world cuisine; KFC, McDonalds, Wendys and Taco Bell to name a few. If you want food that is guaranteed to make you clinically obese in a matter of months, I couldn't recommend a better place.

Sawatdee Guesthouse just of Soi Tonglor (perhaps soi 57?). 2 minute walk to Tong Lor skytrain. About 700 baht per night. My brother always stays there when he visits BKK, supposed to be pretty nice.

I flew to the UK with Poo airways before they got grounded. Never again. The plane sounded like it was falling apart, very old and awful seats.

if you are willing to fork out a little bit of cash then i would say Toni and Guy at Siam Discovery centre - I doubt that razored designed would be what they do everyday but I am sure they would get it right... English is spoken very well and the amount you pay depends on how experienced the cutter is....

Yep Klong Toey has some nasty areas that are best left avoided. However Klong Toey is a large area, therefore not all of it is "bad", perhaps this explains Vezenden's experiences.

Exactly the same happened to me a few months back, Laptop, phones, camera, i-pods and money, lost the lot. Also like you I lost all my songs, pics and business on the laptop. So I really comiserate with you.

It is a really horrible thing to happen and took me a while to get over it, ie. replace the stuff.

If you live in Bangkok it may be worth going to Pantip, esp. the top floor, they have a laptop shop up there which sells 2nd hand, you might be lucky...
