Why is it at the moment that allll day the weather is ok, but as soon as 5:30 comes and I want to go home, it pisses down?
Is somebody taking the piss?

Hi all squash players,
I work near Phrom Phong BTS, play squash weekly and am looking to play new players. I would prefer to play weekdays, Monday - Thursday, after work at around 17.00 onwards.
My email is [email protected] and mobile phone is 095 118 012.
Please feel free to contact me to arrange a game
Thanks,
Simon
Hi Simon,
Thats the same area in BKK as me.
Where do you play? What standard of player are you?

I'm up for a game. I'm gonna buy a raquet this weekend. Anytime after around 6-6:15 weeknights is ok for me. Live near Thong Lor, but anywhere on the BTS is ok. Not an amazing player but know my way around the court...

I'm gonna use it as a stealth "gig" number, for those occasasions when your real phone number just won't do...

I wouldn't mind a game at some point. Haven't played in ages tho, so a bit rusty....

Great news!! My Home Town!! Just wish I was in the UK to see them at Cardiff or even relish in the vistory in Da 'Nam!!

I have noticed that there have been network problems with my AIS phone for a while but the problem usually goes after a couple of minutes. But this week and particularly today I have been completely unable to "access the network" for bloody ages!!!
Sort it out you SLAGS!!!!!!!

Arctic Monkeys- I bet you look good on the dancefloor.
Have it!!

Where is the option for "both"??
I have 3, as does my GF.
I have no issues at all with my GF having tats. Hers are actually very sexy, although I have seen some that are crap and unattractive on other girls.

1 Greenwanderer
2 People who stand in the middle of the doors of the BTS as you are trying to get off.
3 Traffic in BKK
4 Mobile phones
5 Taxi drivers who won't turn on the meter/go where you want

I dunno what Thais you've been talking to, but most Thai people that I know are scared of Tookays!! (I actually think they are quite cute,) Just look at Thai horror films, they often have a couple of Tookays in to increase the tension, if your in the cinema just listen to all the crowd when one appears!! (eg "tookay pii" "narok" etc)

Although I stay in what is supposably a very secure condo block with electronic key cards, vdo cameras and a 24hr security presence, I was burgeled only 2 weeks ago. Me and the missus were asleep in bed, when the <deleted> broke in and took all our expensive stuff: I pod, laptop, cameras etc.
The front door was locked, although the thief managed to pick it somehow. Now we use a deadlock, door chain, normal lock on the front door, as well as locking the kitchen/living room door (which has to be used to enter the main section of the condo)
In my experience although violent crime is fairly rare in LOS ie pissed up brawls (common in other places worldwide - uk, oz etc), the less confrontational crimes such as burgelry are prevalent in BKK.
Just got to be carefull and take precautions, I know I will from now on...

I agree Greenie.
The people earning christ knows how many Baht a month, wondering how people can possibly survive on a salary of anything less than 40k or whatever!! Open your F@cking eyes 99% of the people in this country earn less than that.
To make a comment like "How can people live on a salary of 40k?" Just confirms how detached from reality some peoples lifestyle/spending really is. Yeah, Maybe you cant live in a 200 square metre penthouse employing some unfortunate bugger to wipe your arse for you, But live? Course you can

When I went to apply for a tourist visa with my GF we were treated terribly by the smug, rude b@tch who took the application. Really p@ssed both me and GF off!!
But when I went to get a new passport etc by myself a few weeks later, I was treated completely differently. Absolutely no problems
Depends who you get I suppose.

Yep, I'm in Soi Soon Vijai and it was pretty intense. One second it was quiet, then suddenly really strong wind, rain and powercuts. About 45 mins later all was calm again. Really weird.

Actually Slippery is on the right lines. UK law says that upon the death of a UK national (With FOREIGN national spouse) the assets above the tax threshold limit of 275k GBP (including all worldwide assets & estates) + 55k GBP Foreign spouse allowance will be taxable at 40%
ie. Anything over around 330k GBP will be taxed at 40% (regardless of country of residence)
If you are in this bracket (which many more UK Homeowners are now thanks to the rise in UK house prices) you need to get advise to avoid this tax. There are legal options available to people who will be effected in Thailand to completely avoid paying this tax.

Hi all,
I am going back to the UK for a holiday this week and I have been asked by family and friends to get some reasonably priced silver braclets and necklaces etc as gifts (preferable with coloured stones). Does anyone know of somewhere that has a good selection? Any ideas will be appreciated.
Cheers
