Only interested in ruling through coups and meddling by attacking those whose politics differ from his own, and moreover not demonstrating the neutrality that a man in his position must.
A dangerous lunatic and zealot to match. Wouldn't be wise having a person like that anywhere near politics really

Hats off to the opposition here. The Prayuth regime have spent appallingly since 2014 (completely unchecked).
The waste has been eye watering.
I wonder how much Thai airways will be allocated, that should definitely face major scrutiny

Call me cynical but i predict he'll get off scot free and also get a promotion before these 2 unfortunate victims get any closure or financial compensation they are due
Great disclaimer in the OP also haha

What hope can Thailand actually have when an MP supposedly in the good guys' camp is bona fide human garbage?
The fact his party haven't cut him loose fully already speaks volumes about just how murky the Thai political sphere is. As much as i loathe the pro military camp, you can't help but feel that this idiot is as bad as or worse than any in their ranks.
Trying to get bail after a death sentence has been given in a pretty open and shut case is the pinnacle of absurdity. Depressing as per

That's a whole lot of stuff attended that could feather his ego and allow him to sound benevolent when passing the message on. A propagandist's dream no less.
But about the bag issue, if you want to accelerate the restrictions on, or banning of plastic bags, and outline workable frameworks for enforcement of it.
You need only to visit any market in Thailand to see just how outrageous the problem of plastic misuse is, and how tough a nut to crack it will be.

These faux military boneheads are only adept at making themselves look and sound foolish.
Decked out with rows of medals and ribbons despite only ever having stood over portions of their own populace while somehow ammassing wealth and riches far beyond real, professional, virtuous soldiers ever would.
Their propaganda and lies are getting more desperate and outlandish. The world has changed and one day in the future their debt to the truth, and to the country will have to be paid. It is inevitable, just a matter of when.

Throwing mud at somebody who hasn't committed a crime and trying to paint a picture that fits a certain narrative smacks of an incredibly paranoid, unhinged person.
Apirat has shown himself once again to be far from politically neutral (a requirement for Army chief). He clearly doesn't care (or understand) that he is making even more of a martyr out of Thanathorn not only to those who support him now, any future supporters, and anybody who are likely to become more disenfranchised as Thailand slips ever further into totalitarianism.

When it gets popular they'll be begging to join. The current global financial players like their monopoly the way it is and will club together to resist change as long as they can.
The fee structure these legitimate companies set currently are outrageous frankly

First assignment should be to clear up Thamanat's heroin case or Prayuth's incomplete oath story.
Both guys claim they did nothing wrong. Factual evidence is out there and has even been found, shouldn't be hard for a diligent team to find the info

I don't really know what else he can do if the EU are not even appearing to want to thrash out deals in an already short timeframe.
It is very obvious that key players in the UK and EU establishment want to derail the whole thing. As much as i dislike Boris, his skullduggery is no worse than the EU's blatant unwillingness to even negotiate reasonably.
I hope the UK make a clean break. How can an exit be worse than a constant limbo.

Many of his army mates will suffer if they don't get a slice of the ever increasing military budget pie.
The budget drafted is an abomination, much like the people who are trying to task themselves with spending it (and maybe getting a little bit richer off it)

What a ridiculous thing to say, even by his standards.
So are they going to start with those people driving those clapped out old buses from the 80's (or earlier), or stop his deputy taking the RTP plane for short journeys? And are those new Tanks they bought gonna run on fresh air or what?
Or how about make his motorcades shorter by 5 cars or so. They are super excessive over here.

Nauseating as normal. Shows clearly that the UN either don't know (unlikely) or don't care (highly likely) about how certain leaders assume and maintain their powers.
It isn't right to give a person like Prayuth recognition like this as it legitimizes his misrule and authoritarian approaches.
Sad and pathetic to see ????

Appalling abuse of power again by this grub Prawit. Thanathorn or FFP haven't broken any Thai laws, and supposedly hurting the country's image isn't a crime.
Pretty certain that several countries actually limited diplomatic ties after the coup, and that actual damage to Thailand's image was assured then. These morons get more dreadful every time they rear their ugly heads

Does Thailand actually deserve better leadership than this?
General apathy mixed in with people actually voting for this sadistic <deleted> over other candidates is actually staggering.
With such serious charges hanging over him at election time, why was he even allowed to contest? Scandalous ????

I just hope none of the attendees swallowed any of those straight up lies.
It is actually disgusting that he is even given a platform at international events having come to power the way he has (twice)

Surely the laws are already there and just require amendments in the punishments.
When helmet use appears to be well below 50% (just go and count for 5 minutes) then you're already gping to get more awful statistics for deaths and serious injuries.
Then you add on the complete disregard for basic traffic laws by a significant number of those riding bikes and it just compounds the problem.
They are over simplifying. Drastically increase the monetary penalties. Although as its the same RTP patrols as now actually enforcing it, what makes anyone think they'll jettison their finely honed schemes they have going on

Where to even begin deconstructing the outright lies and distortions. He tried painting such a rosy picture that basically every point was untrue at some level.
If the hospitals were so brilliant, why did Toon Bodyslam feel the need to run 2000 km to fund the purchase of essential equipment?

When his deputies don't take planes for 100km journeys and Supposedly VIP motorcades aren't a mile long I'll believe you.
Or when environmental impact assessments are actually carried out by well qualified and intentioned people, and when environmental activists aren't intimidated by influential figures, i'll believe you then.
Or.. You get the picture

Absolute grub. Just a shame all those who could theoretically get some level of accountability are themselves either subservient to the military or highly unethical also.

This guy is the bona fide dross of society. As unashamedly corrupt and ruthless as they come.
Newin for all his flaws hadn't done time for Heroin trafficking, nor had he been thrown out of the military or been forced to change his name multiple times to hide his criminal past.
The whole cabinet are iffy, but this guy is a different level of scum altogether.

Just absolutely repulsive. Anyone who has dug to any sort of depth on this story knows the reasons and who is likely to have put Prayuth up to this.
Thailand has very little chance to progress. All the pieces are in place to drag it further into the abyss. It is actually a pathetic sight in its current form.

I wonder how sustainable they determined having 1000 plus Generals was.
It would be fair to label the Army leadership in many of the region's individual forces as "crooked" i'd say. What a nonsense meeting, I wonder what it all cost.

Gulf War veteran, 55, was killed by a single punch from a bouncer in Thailand who claimed he tried to leave go-go bar without paying his bill
in Pattaya News
Posted
Feel bad for the victim's family For him to lose his life (indirectly or not) from something so trivial as an unpaid bar bill is a really tragic waste.
I actually find that most door staff in Thailand are pretty decent, but also realise that things can escalate in an instant here.
For just how crazy a place Pattaya is, it speaks volumes just how good a job security staff do to keep it mostly in reasonable order.
