  1. I have to agree, the first time I was chased 2 other Soi dogs attacked the dog going for me, wasn't a big fight but the nasty dog got the message, it was back being aggressive the next day.

What a crock of useless the above post suggests. Why should he waste his time and money sucking up to some verminous, unimportant and disgusting animal. Why should he 'de-escalate' the 'situation? What is wrong with these filthy creatures, (dogs-I mean), apologists?

The animal is out of control. It needs immediate action to put it down. Any method would be OK with me! It is vermin!

  2. Lived in Phuket for 11 yrs, never been to the Zoo only heard stories how bad it was, at some point if you want to put forward an opinion you need to have experience of the something you are commenting about, hope that clarifies your comment.

I'm more amazed that someone who lives here (or maybe you don't?) doesn't know how bad/inhumane the Phuket zoo is.

what a disgusting dirty place, some of the animals living in dirty smelly water, the only good thing I saw was the Alligator Gar in the deep pool oh and the short Elephant show was good don't know if the Elephants enjoyed it though.

  4. Wow you experts are great, feel free to come and try to reason with it!!

    Stopped? On a motor bike?
I don’t think you have a problem with this barker maybe you are showing fear? Sawatdii Kha muttered in a low voice usually works remember you are in the dogs environment and any rabid dog in the Street here is revered, has more rights than a foreigner.

  5. It disappears during the day, it might have an owner but not sure, was thinking Rabies so a trip to the soi dog foundation is in order.

Is the dog actually owned by any of your neighbours?   It's behaviour suggests that it's protecting its 'territory'.   You could contact the Soi Dog Foundation, and tell them you are concerned that it might have rabies.   It should then disappear fairly quickly.

  7. I would rather someone else did that for my part it's now to report the dog and hopefully get it removed, have a few nice Soi dogs where I live but this one is a menace!

Poison it, period. It is running around the soi attacking people, therefore it is a public health issue that must be dealt with.

  8. Do not want to hurt it but it's going to hurt someone maybe a child, I think it's more of a chaser rather than actually wanting to hurt someone( in one encounter I threw a Rock at it he forgot about me and chased the rock, the possibility of causing an accident is high so something needs to be done.

Since the dog shows aggression to everyone, that's going to take a lot of sausage!

  9. Sorry I don't have the patience to stop and feed this out of control aggressive dog, it's not their during the day only comes out when it's dark, I could avoid going past it but why should I!!

Personally I'd approach this the other way around - get some sausage, try to de-escalate the situation, giving you have time and repeated contact with the dog. You don't need to be a dog person to change behavior

  10. My driving licence is valid but the passport number is incorrect, I carry my Passport with me at all times so it's not a problem.

I had a very bad accident about 1 yr ago my driving licence was never asked for only passport.

Wait until you are involved in an accident and the insurance company says you don't have a "proper valid license"!  I rather have peace of mind that costs only 300THB.  Of course you are entitled to your opinion.

  11. Plus the fee for COR which is the main reason I won't bother to change Passport number. Why do you need the COR when you have address registration slip in your passport, just another money making scam.

I just did mine last week.  Document needed:

    1) Copy of new passport

    2) Certificate of Residency from Phuket Immigration

    3) Old driving license

Go in the morning and the fee was 55THB.
