  1. So you are posting comments without knowing... (photo below). Of course the Pink ID isn't Alien Identification - Alien identification is issued by an overseas entity. Nope, it doesn't defeat the purpose at all - the Pink ID adds a layer of convince which is well documented on this forum. I don't carry my passport around in my Wallet, the Pink ID is convenient. Whenever leaving the province, I take my passport with me anyway, always have, always will as we may need to prove our Immigration Status...
  2. And now we all know why I posted the above comment... ... because Neeranam always posts misleading information about the Pink ID... He seems to think, or rather projects, that foreigners who have this Pink ID believe they are special or carry themselves with an air of superiority... (something like that anyway)... Perhaps he encountered and idiot Westerner who has behaved like this and it annoyed him, it is possibly this which has tainted his opinion of the Pink ID card and he has since gone down the rabbit hole of pooh-poohing the pink ID whenever the topic pops up. But... He always posts the same inaccuracies regardless of how many times he is told he is posting false information.
  3. Wrong - you need to stop posting lies to fit your rheotirc. - Banks have issued me with letters for Immigration, when presenting my pink ID as identification. - Banks have permitted 'in bank transactions' when presenting my pink ID as identification. Note: in this case the account was opened with Yellow Book and Pink ID
  4. You always peddle the same rubbish... You have Thai citizenship - so of course you wouldn't find any use for the Pink ID card. These cards are issued as an ID for Westerners, they work as ID for Westerners, forum members have repeatedly posted examples how how the Pink-ID card has added a layer of convenience for them - so clearly, they are not just for migrant labourers. You have also misrepresented the wording the back of the card to fit your 'pink ID is useless' opinion and deliberately missed out a key point regarding province of issue and freedom of movement... in doing so you deliberately post an un-truth, you do this in every thread regarding the Pink-ID. On the back of the card (point #3) it states: "The person named on the card is prohibited from leaving the card issuing area, except for those with alien identification, or a person who has written permission'.... Our 'alien identification' is our Passport... for anyone with a passport and also a Pink-ID there is no limitation on travel.
  5. 100% agree... the only post you've made in this thread which is agreeable.
  6. Yup... thought so... you are unable to deal with the discussion with balanced intelligence so you levy accusations at motive instead... .. my only motive here maybe perhaps to highlight a degree of hypocrisy, you are providing good examples getting so butt-hurt and responding like a drama-queen... ----- Now.. after reading that last sentence, you'll be beside yourself, grasp at the victim-card and accuse me of using homophobic language... ...however, neither the terms 'butt-hurt' or 'drama-queen' have anything to do with your sexuality or that of anyone else - the terms are commonly thrown around the forum without any referece to gender or sexual preference, so you can keep that 'card' in your back-pocket for when you really need it...
  7. Yep... because I'm for equal treatment - not the special treatment of anyone... So.. how are they identifiable when it comes to 'spending'... how is that metric measured ? I'd welcome an intelligent answer - not something overly defensive because you are so sensitive at the thought that every comment is an attack..
  8. Imagine checking into a hotel or going shopping in Emporium and having to tick a 'check-box'... to identify your sexual preference.... anyone would go nuts about that... So... how did they get this data that Jing is clinging onto so much to justify this 'special treatment' ???... the answer is of course, someone made it up so they can have a 5 day parade.
  9. Why not seek all tourists... why specifically LBGQT+ ???? (more on that below) There are cries for equality - so why can't you accept it when someone suggest the LBGQT+ are treated equally.... and that means no special treatment and no negative treatment. Perhaps the reason there is some backlash by some against the LBGQT+ communities is because of over sensitive mouth pieces crying bigotry at those with a balanced opinion. IF this article were about specifically coveting married couples, you might be amongst the first on this forum to cry discrimination - and if you were, on that point, I'd agree with you. This idea that those of LBGQT+ spend more so attracting them specifically is flawed... it would be the same as specifically coveting 'Arab' tourists if they were found to spend more... and that is flawed... Thailand makes billions from back-packers... particularly as those who come here in their younger years, very often return for a holiday later on in life... thus, attracting such tourists (back-packers) has more than a one off 'reward'... as does attracting anyone who is likely to be a repeat visitor, the LBGQT+ might be repeat visitors, so attract them, also attract the bar 'mongers', many of them are repeat visitors... Thailand misses the point that if has a solid product - it will sell.... Thus, taking measures to make the product of Thai tourism attractive to all is where the attention should be - singling out the LBGQT+ may make people like Jing feel warm and fussy but his warm and fussiness comes with an element of hypocrisy - didn't you want equality ?
  10. There is already that anti LGBT topic going. Why do you need to infect this one too? Can't you just leave it alone? You don't have to participate. It's obvious you already dislike and resent LGBT gay people. DIdn't your momma ever teach you to live and let live? Every topic touching on LGBT is ultimately dominated by bigoted posts. I deliberately didn't post in that topic specifically because I'm not anti LBGQT+ and it did seem a very 'anti-LBGQT+' topic to be contributing to, so I didn't want to give any oxygen to the discussion. However, it does seems that any time someone posts in a manner which is anything other than gushingly positive towards the LBGQT+ community you become overly sensitive and are extremely quick to throw out accusations. My whole point here is that the LBGQT+ is just people, like anyone else, no better, no worse... the idea that they are specifically coveted for tourism is as equally ridiculous to me as as specifically coveting married couples... when instead all tourists should be marketed towards and coveted. But... you were unable to recognise or comprehend that point becase of your overwhelming instinct to straight into defend mode playing the hurt pony before going into attack mode...
  11. In another thread, some were outspoke about LBGQT+ being pushed everywhere... This was met with accusations of bigotry... So, at the risk of sounding like a bigot, is this not the very thing that alienates the LBGQT+ community from the general masses ??? ... Why does there need to be a dedicated 5 days Pride-Fest just to boost tourism for the LBGQT+ minority - shouldn't Thailand be pushing to welcome ALL tourists and take measures to improve aspect of Thailand to boost tourism on a whole ?? I object to such notions of specifically marketing to the LBGQT+ community as it singles out their difference from the rest of society... I object for the very same principles I'd object if Thailand had a 5 days 'hetro-fest' to boost tourism on married couples...
  12. Yes, I'm guessing, which is exactly what I wrote in my post. My guess is also based on a fair amount of knowledge of the aviation industry. If you have more, state it and give us some expert opinion. Add to to discussion rather slagging off others. Additionally, this is a forum. We post opinions, ideas and, yes, sometimes a load of "cr@p". If you've got a problem with that, I really don't care. Lots of interesting comments on here, with good opinions from some... ... I completely agree with your comment in response to scottiejohn... forums are designed for discussion and debate, which is the very thing he seems to be criticising.... ... Perhaps he'd be better off reading a news webpage instead of this forum - then he wont have to read discussions and opinion.
  13. One is that some reviews are copies of earlier reviews, with the same photos. Secondly, there are some items (18650 lithium batteries) that I know are counterfeit, but I buy them and test them to verify that they are fake, and I post my review with receipts (photos of the testing). But fake reviews are posted claiming that the counterfeits are real, and those reviews are then re-posted periodically. He wouldn't believe many reviews are fake unless there was some form of proof... as we can't use intuition, suspicion or opinion to recognise fake reviews - wanna-be-lawyer, only wants to discuss provable facts... which is obviously impossible, yet many of us are well aware that many reviews are fakes and have learned how to identify such or become suspicious of such. https://pirg.org/edfund/resources/how-to-recognize-fake-online-reviews-of-products-and-services/ ... many of us are also aware of fake 'review factories'... -------- With this product - the ambiguity and scaling in the photo itself is a red flag for me... There is no doubt IMO the photo is misleading - the only question is if this is deliberate or through laziness.
  14. erm.. sure it is. So you don't think the photo is deliberately misleading and are sticking up for the vendor and disagreeing with those who are voicing annoyance at the misleading tactics of many vendors on Lazada.... ... typical of you really.
  15. All a bit vague then... The Op was based around the photograph being misleading... it is misleading. We've learned to have to dig deeper and triple check everything in detail, specs, reviews, seller ratings etc... becasue of so many dishonest vendors. IMO - this vendor is flirting with dishonesty in using that photograph - I agree with the Op.
  16. I agree... as I mentioned, I wouldn't get caught out... ... But equally so, the photo is ambiguous... deliberately so I believe. IF you or I were selling this item, we'd do a better job of ensuring the photo made it clear what is being sold. In this case, the vendor has presented a photo which is misleading, yet, they've backed (protected) themselves with their wording (in Thai)... The vendor has either presented this photo to visually mislead the customer, OR they are just very lazy... Having witnessed very similar tactics in other items I'm looking for - the tactics of many vendors, particularly in china is one of 'trickery' rather than 'clarity'...
  17. Where does the photo say the rifle is 9" ??... I agree with the Op, the photo looks misleading - as neither a rifle or pellets are being sold. The vendor could easily post a photo that makes it far more apparent that the item is a 'tin picture'... this is the Ops point.
  18. The description specifically states what it is for sale. Who's ever seen a rifle that small? I wouldn't get caught out by it - but I understand how people find such deceit annoying... I also understand how someone less initiated with these tactics could be mislead. Its not just this one off example - but there are plenty of example of vendors using a photographs which is misleading. You may not think so... I but I suspect the vendors know exactly what they are doing when they post images such as this... they'd otherwise ensure any ambiguity in the image is removed. As you mentioned the description 'specifically' states what item is for sale - but thats not clear to non-Thai's unless using a translation app (which many of us should be using when looking at such sites).... The Ops point is how the image is misleading - I agree... You want to play 'lawyer' and defend the vendor... to be expected from you really...
  19. 100% agree... in many cases the wearing of a helmet is the difference between walking away from an incident with aches and pains... vs severe head injury and death... I worry for the daily potential of a motorcyclist pulling out without looking and he gets knocked off... in an accident they'd otherwise walk away from, but dies or is severely brain damaged because they were not wearing a helmet... This is why I have forward and rear facing dash-cams. BUT... If an accident was my fault, should I be accountable for the 'additional severity' of the outcome (i.e. head injuries or death) because that rider was breaking the law and not wearing a helmet ? (obviously I'm not talking about drink driving in this situation).
  20. And was riding at night... and very likely without a helmet... Thats not to suggest at all that this wasn't 100% the Russians fault, particularly as he was reportedly inebriated... However with your implication of the elevated dangers of motorcycling, I would mention that riding at night is even more so... and then how a person rides, use of helmets etc is also a significant factor... I hardly ever ride at night for these very reasons (other motorists are more likely to be drunk and with the dark film everyone uses, visibility is also reduced).
  21. C'mon... really ??... as if brianthainess' post is not enough of a give away... Kitty-Purse is obviously a euphemism given to the manner in which female carries drugs in her fuffuss...
  22. I think thats a fair assessment... 95% are decent, but primarily because we have learned to be extremely diligent in our online shopping and have learned to pickup on these 'deliberately ambiguous' and misleading vendors.... Its almost like a game of cat and mouse when looking for some items.
  23. This is a typical 'wanna-be-lawyer' approach to this issue... Defending the vendor when their photo is deliberately miss-leading... in other nations this could be a breach of trading standards... Its a PITA having to be so careful when shopping online on such sites...
  24. It was deliberately misleading - its the online equivalent of 'bait and switch'... The vendor is clearly attempting to push the buyer into the assumption that he's either purchasing an air-rifle or a tin of pellets... The photo of the item is taken in a manner which deliberately hides the fact that the item is a 'tin-sheet with a photo on it'... but shows enough of the item to create a plausible disability of this. The vendor is being deliberately tricky, dishonest - they know exactly what they are doing. Does lazada have a report function?... to report such misleading vendors ?... and if so, does Lazada take action when a vendor applies a deliberate degree of ambiguity and trickery to mislead the customer ?.. Perhaps lazada doesn't care about the customer experience and just wants as many vendors on the platform as possible.
  25. Something strange there - you should have got a refund.
