I just use standard B7 diesel and occasionally a tankful of Shell V power ,which is appreciably more expensive, for any additional cleaning properties it may have.

Is Thailand really getting more expensive?

The kindest thing I can say about your tastes are 'undiscriminating'. Those sausages I once tried are pretty poor quality with not a great meat content and overly salty and that processed sliced bread is appalling. Try Big C for a multi malt @ 99 baht. -
Cost of 14 days in the hospital if I test positive on arrival?
Chongalulu replied to mitebbots's topic in Health and Medicine
You should read the small print of Travel insurance. It covers emergency medical treatment. Being positive but not unwell ,or worse still, negative but having been exposed to someone who is is classified as quarantine and is specifically excluded from any travel insurance I’m aware of. -

I submitted today and got immediate acknowledgment, then later same day an e mail confirmation approval referring to "attached file for applications information ".There was no attachment ,but the email body gave my name, passport number, date and time of successful approval and date to report again (my visa renewal date in January). I’ve saved that to files and can print the email off. Is that sufficient or should I contact Korat office re missing attachment ?

Anutin declares he's ready to be the next Prime Minister of Thailand

Right,so you endorse an insult, but become offended when it’s implied you may also fit the same criteria . Do you see a logic disconnect there? Or ,if I understand you’re native Thai..? then you have proved the ‘common knowledge' that Thais are dimmer than Farang.? There is actually better empirical evidence for that care of the PISA educational tables and googling‘average IQ by country'. I’ll understand if you’re now baffled… ???? -

One thing it wasn’t was unprofitable. £2 billion profit pre pandemic and BA is by far the largest contingent of IAG. -

Probably the worst direct flight from the UK out of the bunch and generally most expensive. No loss. It was always one of the cheapest for flights starting in Bangkok, certainly of the direct ones,so yes a loss by virtue of reduced competition and higher fares from others -

No it’s a commercially realistic company assessing the reality of the future of Thai tourism, unlike the delusional TAT -
Outside of a black swan event like a pandemic,a well maintained tourist industry is very robust and lucrative. Countries like Spain and Ski resorts illustrate that. What 'other sources of revenue'? Thailand’s appalling education system and lack of skills don’t equip it to compete in more advanced industries and even if that could be addressed today (it can’t under current governance and ingrained attitudes) it would take a generation to overcome. No, the relatively low skillset required for a tourist industry is ideally suited to Thailand, but they are in severe danger of losing even that to a substantial degree by having no vision ,apart from wishful thinking, to address a recovery of the industry compounded by a delusional, arrogant and complacent attitude imagining tourists are banging at the door to get back in previous numbers. It’s going to a painful awakening..

Hogwash - the roads here are fine The engineering design reflecting the safety aspect is truly appalling/absent. U turns in dangerously ill considered places and rumble strips ON the bend and even AFTER are the more obvious examples of the cluelessness along with totally insufficient distances for warnings of roadworks etc.
