  1. Doesn't what happened to me prove that isn't the case
  2. I can guarantee i was polite. I'm British, all we do is polite.????
  3. When i say i was being quite vocal maybe that the wrong phrase i was just making them aware that i had a tourist visa as some one commented that maybe they didn't realize i had a tourist visa but that certainly wasn't the case. I wasn't ranting and raving or shouting. I'm not a idiot i know that isn't the right thing to do with immigration.
  4. I don't think that's the case because i was quite vocal in letting them know that i had a tourist visa. in a polite but assertive manner as i didn't want to give them even more reason to not let me in by being surly.
  5. I'm debating what to do actually. and wondering what are the best land borders to go through? the date is the end of october. I think I'll sit it out in Penang for a bit though even if i decide to go back via land border. Yes i had to pay for the flight back to Penang. not too much but still something i could have done without.
  6. Just to say I didn't realize in my original post that I left out that the airport official said to me i can go back to phuket in a month. in the original post i just said he said i could go back to Phuket.
  7. Yes as i said in response to caldera's comment no doubt it shows up when they scan it.
  8. Yes I totally agree sloppy and inconsistent. Good point they probably have just forgot to stamp it. I expect it will still be on my passport when they scan it though.
  9. I didn't know what was going on. Until you've been in that position you can't comment. It's fairly scary being sat in an immigration office not knowing what's going on. I defy anyone not to be <deleted>ting themselves in that situation unless you got balls of steel.
  10. Immigration at Malaysia just stamped me as per usual for 90 days. I not sure what i signed to be honest but i thought it was a denied entry form. Is there a difference? Does a expulsion form mean you don't get a denied entry stamp then?
  11. Well i was told i had to pay for it. cuz i questioned that but they weren't budging.
  12. They told me I had to pay for it. yes i had to use the same airline and back to Penang. as for the detention room what can i say? it was a detention room, its not gonna be like the hilton. there was 6 of us in there as well. 2 on the bunk beds (Thankfully i was first in so took the bottom bunk) one on a sofa that was in there and the rest on chairs. I've been in better places put it that way. lol
  13. So, I got my passport back and there wasn't even a denied entry stamp and the airport official at Penang airport who gave me my passport back said i can go back to Phuket. And Ok he isn't an immigration officer but it all seems very strange. Can anyone tell me what it means or has anyone else ever had that happen? Also before anyone says what did Immigration say at Phuket. I was met by the airline officials at the detention room and escorted by them to my flight. So, never got the chance to speak with any of them.
  14. Well as the common theme on this post is everything is to each IO discretion, I'd probably get a different answer from each one of them. And from what i can gather legally i could try again tomorrow (i'm not going to) And i guarantee they wouldn't tell me that. Also it would be a loss of face if another immigration let me in. not that the actual IO that refused me would ever know. unless he's going to monitor my every move from now on in????
  15. Well it seems it's not a very logical way to do it and by the sounds of it all countries are the same. because thats like buying a ticket for a entertainment event ie football, concert, etc online and then at the venue they deny you entrance.
  16. I'll tell you why i was drip feeding the info. because i wasn't sure id even get any response to my first post. I didn't want to write out a long post and no-one even respond and also even if i had put most of the details i guarantee someone would want some other detail that i had forgotten. On the passport point I still haven't got that back yet as i'm still in the detention room i fly out this evening. And the final point which I keep having to repeat but has got lost in so many comments. The only thing i EVER wanted to know was how long would or should it be before i attempt to come back to thailand? Yes i believe it is unfair that the embassy grant you the visa but the immigration still can refuse you BUT my original post was only enquiring about how long before i should attempt to come back to Thailand. everything else is irrelevant.
  17. Actually i didnt want the answers to any of them. all i wanted to know was when it was safe to go back to thailand after getting denied entry
  18. But if digital nomads are coming in on a tourist visa then you're contradicting yourself. if they work they're not tourists. make ya mind up.
  19. They didn't even ask if i had any cash on me.
  20. As i said before I thought i was alright to fly in as I had the SETV
  21. I'm only doing what I'm allowed to do. If they don't want people to use these visas more than once then make that the rule. And also what you're forgetting is my annoyance is the Thai embassy in penang allowed me the visa. fair enough if rules are rules but surely everyone in immigration has got to follow the same rules, So, why is the embassy not following the same regs? I should have never got as far as phuket if it is across the board same rules/regs, I wouldn't have minded so much if in penang they said you can't have a visa, but to let me go to phuket and then say you're refused entry is wrong.
  22. yeah right! I'm gonna be that brain-dead <deleted>
