  1. Crazy Chef. I did vote for you. I voted for everyone. I cannot read or speak German. I live in French speaking part of Swissland.

Which is very nice. and we have a line between the German and French part called the The Rostigraben!!

I shall continue to vote for you. And whatever the outcome, as promised i shall send you a packet of those dried morel mushies. PM me your address and they shall be sent!!! I can get two packs for the price of one at the moment!!

You have to soak them in warm milk etc. But, the instructions on the pack will be in German, French and Italian so i guess you can work it out for yourself.

At Christmas i am just going to cook up some meat with a creamy morel sauce!! And chips.

  2. So sorry, Patsycat. You and I don't hang out on the same forum. Henri's made the rounds of our Ladies Lunch email group -- esp. here in this condo building where we got the pet policy changed from "no pets" to "cats OK" policy. Or as some would say "cats rule, dogs drool"

That 's great. But if you go down to Bedlam on this Forum, and look for the For Patsy thread - Henri has been around for yonks. There are other threads which can be fun,

Sheryl and i share a love of Bruce Springsteen, and have a special Bruce thread. Did you know that.

Anyway, i shall not post this one in my Bedlam thread, i shall post it here. I hope your ladies that love Henri will also love Simons Cat!! He really reminds me of the cats i have had in my life. Odd!! Good luck in the Poster of the year thingy.

  3. Where was the nomination phase? I see many posters i recognize, a few I don't, a couple I would have nominated.

My apologies, but who are these posters?

    Crazy chef1? Food forum?

    Villagefarang? Posts some photos?

    Meatboy? who?

Could they provide some information on themselves?

    And who are you`?

I'm patsycat. And i am a bit drunk.

But not as much as last year, where i think a lot of people were drunk for days on end!!

  4. Yes, i too would be worried to get Social Services involved. And what that will entail.

But, if the child is in danger. Who would he turn to? There is no where else but Social Services. They have had a lot of bad press recently, but they are the only place a concerned adult or parent can go to. And for all the bad press, they do a good job.

I don't want to read another sad story in the Daily Mail or the Times or any newspaper.

OP, if you feel deep down in your bones that your daughter is in danger. Grab her and run. And then face the consequences.

We have a new little girl in my family. She is only three months old. But she is surrounded by love. A big bubble of pink fluffiness!! And if anyone tried to harm her now or in six years or in twenty. She is protected. I would kill to protect her.

Sorry Chels, your post got in before mine.

  5. A real father looks after his children, doesn't leave them with a phone at six years old.

A real father reads bedtime stories, and tucks their child in at night. A real father is there. Not palming their children off to others who they "think" may be abusing the child.

Well, if you think they are abusing her - get a set of balls and get her out of there. don't come here on TVF and expect sympathy. Or how to do, run in grab her and run out again. And then see how things turn out with social services. Especially in the UK, they will be thorough and nasty.

But they will get down to the nitty gritty. Expect that. It won't be brushed under the carpet.

After a lot of child abuse scenarios in the UK have been over the years, brushed under the carpet, they are more vigilant now, hopefully,

I am sorry for your situation, but you put yourself into it, Now, get out if it. And take your daughter with you.

    Good luck.

  6. Sorry Weegee, I edited!!

    And, to finish my story.

I arranged to meet this girl. I did a detour of about 15 minutes to the Benefits Office to get all the papers to fill in, lists of documents to add to the papers etc.

I sat like a <deleted> pillock for an hour waiting for her. Her excuse - she had to take her dog to the vet. OK.

I shall give her another chance - her day, her time, and where. But after that she can do it on her own, like i did.

And i delete her from Fussybook!!

  7. It happens in every country.

Here, in affluent Switzerland, i got a sob story. I myself am on benefits living in "council accomodation". An old school friend who i haven't seen for at least 20 years wants to know if i have any friends who could put her up for six months rent free!!

Well, darlin', i replied - if i had friends like that you would not even know about it. Get out and do something about your situation, like i had to do. There are associations out there that help. It is embarassing - but hell, you have to eat and sleep. And it involves not going to the pub every night. Stay at home, watch tv, listen to music, read books.

    And annoy people on fora's!!!

Becoming Facebook friends with people with whom you have no connection at all since yonks is not a good thing.
