  1. What about the men on here that complain that they were thrown out of the house they built, bank accounts emptied, kids removed never to be seen again?

I don't think it was a Western wife that did that...

I must say, that Thailand can take all the big fat Westeners who can't admit to themselves that they can't find a nice woman in the West.

We'll keep the good ones for ourselves!! The ones that accept us as we are and are not trying to live like they are 25 year old adonis's anymore.

  2. Go into the Ladies Forum and look at the thread For Sheryl - there you shall see for pages and pages of Bruce Springsteen love and admiration. Culminating in my seeing him in concert on the 4th of July 2013!! At the age of 50, when i had the chance to see him so many times. But that concert was only 4 bus stops away from where i live!!

I agree, we all have our musical likes and dislikes. And it's difficult to make one person like the music of another.

  3. I think, in general, that men are a bit embarassed about their feet. They don't pedicure and look after their feet as well as the ladies do.

    Hence the socks.

Also, it's easier to rince your bare feet if you walk in something yucky. What are you going to do with a dirty sock that has walked in dog poo?

And walking around your own home in bare feet is very good for your health. I do wear socks at home, because of the cold. But you lot have no excuse. But the minute the temp goes up my socks are in a box.

And how can you wiggle your toes in the sand with socks on?

  4. I do. When it is quite late and i have to run to the ciggy shop before it closes. I throw on my false birkenstocks and away i go. But would never during the day, unless i had a horrible foot complaint.

You have to let your toes breathe. And i can tell you, in Europe we wear socks for months - the minute the sun comes out - off with the socks.

  5. Possum, Possum, Possum slow down!!

You are putting down almost every great songster of the past 80 years. Frank Sinatra - what a great voice, Stevie Wonder also, ad infinium.

You started this thread and then went on about how the people were dressed. Of course they were dressed like that, that was the fashion then. And i am sure those are not bananas....

Billy Joel - She's always a woman to me is one of the most beautiful songs on this Planet.

To be honest, i think the Beatles screeched alot, even though we have sung their songs for decades.

Look at Luke Kelly of the Dubliners, or rotten teeth of the Pogues. They couldn't sing - but they got their point across in their lyrics and presence.

And if you start on my Bruce.....angry.gif

  6. I was educated at the International School of Geneva from the age 0f 10 until 17.

And i've turned out to be quite a normal person!!! In some ways.

My dad worked for the UN and they paid part of the fees. Nowadays the fees are OTT. In fact, most of my old school friends opt to send their kids to local, free schools.

It does have a beautiful campus. Last Summer they had a big party to celebrate their 90th year. I met up with people i hadn't seen in 35 years who had made the effort to travel from all corners of the world. And we got drunk and disordely just like in the good old days!!
