Thanks ubonjoe, I'm best booking return flight to the uk within the 30 days allowed visa exempt entry & cancel the flight for me to stay in Thailand for a full 90 or 120 days by using an immigration agent. -
Am I allowed to get a 30 days visa exempt on arrival but still book a return flight for 90 days ? I do intend to extend the 30 days at an immigration office..

Can anyone here advise. My Thai wife is currently staying in the UK with a 6 months visitor visa expiring on 25/September. I have been diagnosed with Terminal cancer & I will need lots of care & treatment. I would like my wife to be able to extend her visitors visa on compassion grounds so she can help & Care for me which she wants to do. I can get printed hospital paperwork confirmation of my cancer situation. We have applied to UK & Thai embassy's but they said they don't deal with the special extension visa. If my Thai wife has to go home to Thailand it will mean I will be living alone & we will probably not see each other again. Thank you.

It can happen to any expat living Thailand but most think it will never happen. I am desperate to come to live in Thailand but as i am a uk cancer patient although now under control with lots of past medication my annual insurance including past health history would be £4,500.

My friend arrived from UK 25/Feb with 30 days visa exempt, he asked me if he will be able to get a Covid visa with 60 days giving him a 90 days stay here + possibly an extra 30 days stay after a Covid extension. Any advice on this for him.???

Ok & many thanks ubonjoe. 30 days will be sufficient for me so do you think that will be granted for the 1,900 bahts fee.? -
Thai visa extensions
ray richards replied to ray richards's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I did ask if a 60 day extension was possible & I was told to come before 25th January which was deadline date for 60 days Covid extension, so immigration stamped me the 60 days but I don't know if I can have an extra 30 days?? I am buying a Condo & need extra days. -

I'm dealing with Jomtien Soi 5. No I haven't had a 30 day extension I opted for the Covid deadline extension of 60 days ,I thought that would be enough but due to property purchase I find I. could do with an extra 30 days extension. -

I transfer from UK hsbc to Thailand Bangkok bank ,I send Gbp & Bangkok bank do the conversion to bahts. UK charge £4 for any amount but Bangkok bank charge me 1.25% commission, I've had numerous arguments with Bangkok bank about the commission but they still stick to it. I would imagine it's a same set up from HK HSBC.

Are we talking about the same 60 days tourist visa that I came to Thailand with or the STV ? My tourist visa 60 days ends on 29 th January which will be Saturday when immigration will be closed, I was thinking of going the day earlier (28th) & hoping for another 60 days tourist visa extension if immigration will do that?? I've not heard about the Covid extension until now which could end on 25th January, I'm not sure about visa extension applications so will it be advisable to get an agent involved as I'm looking for 60 more days = 120 days in total. Any advice will be welcome.

Inside Pattaya’s struggling sex trade amid pandemic and downturn
ray richards replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
I took a walk up eerie Walking St this week at 7.30pm , maybe 4 restaurants still open but empty, all the gogo bars & beer bars are there but pitch black, really weird experience along with about 4 other tourists also taking a look. -
Can anyone help my friend? He has a retirement visa expiring 20 Feb 2022 & has only put the required money plus his related pension payment today 13 Dec so he is passed the 3 months requirements, in fact he has maybe 2 months 1 week with the money in his bank, what can he do? Will immigration be lenient & understand his mistake? I think this is his 3rd retirement extension to stay.

I landed at Sauvanaboumi airport Bangkok it was very well organized,I sat & waited 3 minutes for girl to check my TP & was took to the paperwork desk & border control immigration to stamp my passport after a visa check, I went to get my suitcase which was about 2 more minutes, I walked through the green custom area & went to the welcome gate number 10 where a Thai lady asked my name & hotel in Pattaya for 1 night quarantine, after 5 minutes the same Thai lady took me to the car from my hotel, all in it took no more than 30 minutes & I was on my way to Beverly Hotel Pattaya, fantastic place with 2 large evening meals & a breakfast next morning. PCR test,, 4* hotel, hotel car down to Pattaya , all excellent food & free self test kit, 4,600 bahts, 1st class hotel etc.

Just do the test it's no big deal, it took me 5 minutes yesterday then after waiting time for test to show negative I sent the result photo by Line app to my Pattaya hotel & I got a nice thank you sir reply.

Frozen pre cooked turkey needing to be re heated sounds like a perfect recipe for big salmonella food poisoning, make sure people buy a good insurance policy at the checkout along with the turkey.
