  1. Thank you for the information, it will give me 3 days to book a new flight depends on our UK weather.
  2. I'm probably going to miss my flight because of heavy snow. I will have to book a new flight time, new insurance times etc. My visa is valid for 3 months but I don't know the ruling for the Thailand Pass? I am booked for the PCR test tomorrow & supposedly flying from UK early 30/Nov. Will the Thailand Pass remain valid if I book a new flight say 5 more days time. It's just my rotten luck with the heavy snow ????????
  3. Just upload the vaccine passport document that gives the authority what they need, if they want more they will send an email. I applied for TP 21 days before my departure & received the Pass after just 5 days.
  4. I just uploaded 1 certificate of vaccination stating the dates etc where I had the jabs. It was passed with no problem & I got the Pass approval in 5 days.
  5. Yes Dr jack 54. I'm 70yr old. I've heard about the retirement visa but I don't want to stay in Thailand more than probably 4 months so that mean I would need an exit permit to go back to the UK for 8 months. I've been visiting Thailand for 20 yrs for a 4 months stay & until the Covid situation it was easy.
  6. I arrive in Thailand 1st Dec with a 60 days tourist visa. Does anyone know if I can convert this visa into a STV whilst I'm in Thailand at a local immigration office, it will get me an extra 60 days stay or if I can't convert can I extend 30 days & then another 30 days.
  7. I got all the rubbish together to get to Thailand. It's even more difficult when people same as me can't do internet very much & I don't have printing facilities, I've had to depend on different friends to do all the paperwork 20 different papers + 20 copies, I got the tourist visa+ Pass but I won't do it again I'll go to Spain next winter only 2 hours from u.k.
  8. Yeh possibly aimed at tourists STV , Tourist Visa etc. No need to worry too much, I declared medical conditions for cancer, heart problem, high cholesterol, taking medicines for these items along with 76 yrs old. £ 535 for 90 days. £ 250 if no medical declarations. Really good value.
  9. Chris B. Tell your friends to deal with JUST TRAVEL COVER U.K. You get instant quotes, all quotes from this agent are Covid & medical from £5,000,000 including Covid cover verification certificate. Very easy & straightforward, call them if not sure. I uploaded 3 page documents for Thailand Pass & accepted.
  10. Chris b. Yes that's true if applying for AXA Thailand. I applied for UK AXA age 76 no problem, Thailand Pass accepted after 6 days.
  11. Best to be safe, health insurance including Covid cover for period of stay £250, but I declared medical ailments so I had to pay the extra costs, AXA insurance. I am 76 yrs old staying for 3 months, got the pass ok.
  12. We're to get a hard copy of RT-PCR test results. I don't have access to a printer & I probably won't get the test results on my phone until Monday evening, I fly out from UK Tuesday morning? unless I can get a printed copy in Manchester airport ???
  13. Great to see Thailand attracting the better quality tourists ????????????????
  14. So if that is all true with the 65,000 application backlog, what is the recommended application period before my flight on 30th Nov ? I was going to send the application for Thailand Pass 10 days before my departure date but not sure now, maybe apply at least 2 weeks before my departure date??
  15. Get a couple of 1,000 bahts from the 1 night ASQ hotel reception, it will be low but I don't think you will be nightclubbing in Bangkok just yet, so you will have plenty to tie over especially if hotel & inclusive deals etc.
  16. I am also to the stage of applying for the Thailand Pass. How can I upload the 3 page declaration form if only 1 page is allowed, or is this not needed, I have filled out the T8 health form, do all these declaration forms need sending for the Thailand Pass. Any advice please
  17. Whilst on the subject of insurance can anyone please tell me, I have got an e- visa application approved & I am due to arrive in Thailand 30/Nov but because I am 75 yrs old the Thai travel insurance ends at age 74 so I will be forced to use a UK travel insurance which states it does cover for Covid hospitalized & sickness, will this insurance be accepted for the new Thailand Pass??
  18. You could be applying too early. I am in the UK & applied for the e- visa 5 weeks before my departure date, I uploaded all what Thai Embassy London asked & the £30 visa fee. I got the application approved after only 2 days.
  19. I have been searching around for Covid 19 insurance whilst hopefully I will be in Thailand for 90 days. I've found the best here in the UK, £ 5 to 10 million medical cover for Covid or any health issues, accident , hospitalized etc etc for £260, I have added my present medical ailments so it is extra. Will this insurance with full Covid cover be accepted for my COE or do I have to take out the Thai Covid insurance???
  20. Not applied for the COE yet but that's free, I am just highlighting for people not to worry too much about the expenses, it will all cost £400 more than a usual 90 days trip, even less if Thailand ends quarantine.
  21. I've found the visa & COE to get to Thailand is not all that expensive. My perfect flight from UK £510. Covid insurance cover £260. Asq hotel 7days £420. PCR before departure £100. Visa cost £30. After that is my usual holiday money for 90 days, so the only extra costs is a total of Asq + PCR test = £ 510 the other expenses is what I would usually have to pay at anytime. People want to stop grumbling or stay at home in freezing temperatures.
  22. I am just going through the process of applying for a tourist visa from the UK. I've booked a flight leaving on 30th November, I've got my insurance for Covid cover, will I need to book a ASQ hotel now to send confirmation with my visa application if the quarantine is going to be ended on 1st November ??As I'm not sure if it will not be necessary.
  23. Thanks for your advice. As I'm an old timer I'm not really into internet workings, my limit is emailing & topics, so I find it risky dealing with online banking transactions.
  24. The problem I've had before when I transfer money from UK bank to Thailand bank is my uk bank insist on sending a passcode to my UK phone which doesn't do roaming for Thailand & a p.a.y.go thai sim number is not acceptable at my uk bank so I've never been able to do a money transfer whilst in Thailand, any suggestions???
