  1. Many people in Thailand still think they are above the law.

They will learn their lesson the hard way......but not all of them.

My local beer garden was also open after midnight, last night, full of policeman drinking in there, with 2 police cars parked in full view outside.

So as you can see they are above the law and I would be also if I had any business here because laws are made by stupid people who know nothing about real life. They are already millionaire and it's not thanks to their hard work, no respect for any officials or politicians.

  2. "One problem in Thai hospitals, because of the language barrier, is that there is little explanation given."

This is not a problem only in hospital and it is not only because of the language: THAI NEVER EXPLAIN ANYTHING !

They are never taught that you have to give reasons and explain when they want you to do something or when they do something for you, so boring !

  3. btw my tourist visas, I got them with no problems... I just show I have 500'000 bahts invested or on a bank account , and I got my tourist visa double or triple entries in no time. one after one.

7 years tourist, no questions asked.

(and people carry my luggage for 20 bahts and my visas is processed first Because I offer 50 bahts to I/O). I can not wait for my next visa run.

you seem guys (elite member? , what a dumb name btw! ) to be stuck with too much money in hand . some of your comments are ridiculous and infantile . maybe it s time to grow up than being brainwashed by Thai people and their ridiculous cards which is just lot of money for little nothing.

Thai government have a good laugh at you.

I guess you also drive a Toyota, right ?

It's good for you if you are happy with your cheap life !

But I prefer to make money and spend it !

  4. Ok.... Let's just get this right... You need a large amount of rum for cocktails.... But you have not researched the local market ?.... You must be a real cocktail expert huh?

Thank you Mr Clown, very useful reply.

Thank you to other, so it seems that I won't injure anyone if I buy the uncle tom or another cheaper local rum.

  5. Those highway potrol officers do a wonderful job and it is sad to read this article. They helped us out when we got a flat tyre on the way to Bangkok.

RIP to the victim and a speedy recovery to the other officer.

I won't be surprised though to see this "live" on the bestgore web site in the next day or two…They get a lot of their material from Thai road accidents.

Yes wonderful job, we can be sure now !

I am also waiting for liveleak and bestgore videos, so lovely !

  6. I live in Kunming the past 10 years. I don't work so I cannot speak of working conditions. Formost question would be to beach or not to beach. No beaches in Kunming.

That being said, I definitely prefer China to Thailand, and most definitely prefer Kunming to Phuket. I spent a lot of time in Thailand and a few years ago decided not to return. It has plummeted downhill in comfort and lifestyle. Thai people do not want you there and make this attitude clear. I miss the food but I do not miss the "Thainess". It is also an unstable govt with an equally negative attitude towards foreigners.

Be vary aware the two are completely different as far as expat living conditionas. Chinese really do like Americans in particular and are generally very nice. Petty crime is a national sport in both places so that is a wash. Food in Kunming is good but not healthy, Thai foods is way better. Living cost in Kunming is much cheaper and I think the girls are prettier and much more approachable in Kunming.

Read up in GoKunming.com and ask questions there. In the end I suggest you visit a month in each place and see how it goes for you. Both places have good and bad, but Kunming still comes out on top.

And do you think that your opinion is the one of most ?

This is the reason why everybody wants to work and live in Thailand, right ?

  7. I know people who would never work anymore in China even for 100k+

I would also not work in China for any price.

But if you wonder maybe it means that you can accept all the shiiite of this country...

  8. Hello,

We need a large quantity of Rum for cocktails and I am surprised to find in supermarkets that most rum bottles cost around 700/800 thb but 2 brands sell it around 300 thb.

I found Jupiter Rum and Uncle Tom Rum, they seem to be locally made.

I wonder if anyone who knows about rum could tell me if the price difference is maybe only due to import tax ? So they should be ok for cocktails ?

There is another rum made in Phuket called Chalong bay and this one is sold the same price as international brands, around 700thb, this is why i wonder about the cheapest bottles that i found.

Do you think the guests will have a terrible headache/hangover if we buy only the cheapest rum ?

Do you recommend any other rum made in Thailand that is cheap and good ?

Thank yo for your insight about rum ! I really know nothing.

  9. Hello,

Send by EMS, airmail or surface and it will be delivered 99% of the time (just don't say that it's liquid inside).

If it is stopped before boarding the plane you will be refunded for the shipping !

But maybe you have found another solution ?

I found these posts on the topic:
