What's all your views on this Law ? Some of you say it's a jail sy. Is it good or bad in your opinion I know the UK don't have such a Law. What about NZ ..I'm hearing they can't get the pension overseas ?

I live 10 minutes walk away in a apartment near Sydney Harbour and haven't been for a walk in that area for about 3 or 4 years

I see Labor party has been in 18 months in power now in Australia Is there changes which has affected or benefit us as expats or better services I'm hoping ,I really am that this 2 year portability is quashed eventually,surely there will be a change somewhere I'm not getting political as I usually vote Liberal but I do like this current government and I'm putting faith into them

Yes I heard plenty of vacancies for night shift bus drivers on weekend nights , Ironically you mentioned bus driver ,I had a friend a few years ago Ron was his name came back to Australia at 64 and worked a bus driver out at Blacktown /Mount Druitt weekend nights ,ended up getting the sack the second week of working after a group of kids threw rocks at the bus. He decided to stop the bus with passengers on board and chase the kids ! ,now your 2 years should go fast working every Friday & Saturday nights as a bus driver with all the intereresting people you will meet .????

Well it depends on someone's financial position. If they are coming back at 65 and no own residence they will have to pay rent and either live off savings or unemployment benefits. So they will pay rent to live probably in a regional area for cheaper prices Would be lonely experience if you are not financially well off

Night shift security guard even if a couple nights a week factory or gatehouse would be ok I would stay away from Uber Taxi picking up drunks weekends

They say Philippines is different as far as looking for a lady that cares and wants a true partner to care for and look after ,Filipino ladies are caring. that's another topic though .

Just wasting time , 2 years wasted unfortunately 65yo to 67yo you serve a 2 year jail sentence Then 10-15 years left of life Hopefully Labor government change this

Before you read the post I want to inform everyone that tommrrw is Are you ok Day A day you should ask others if they are ok Are you ok ? Ask on "ARE YOU OK DAY Well I was on WhatsApp last night to a business owner in Pattaya. He mentioned to me "Old Reg" from Australia ???? is going back ,you may see him. Old Reg I thought .oh yes the old guy 72yo from the North Coast of Australia,met him in Pattaya my last trip Had been living in Thailand for 3 years on his aged pension. Miserable old guy who sat all day in a bookshop or a bar and brought his own teabag !!!! Lived down at jomtien in his own owned apartment that he had proudly boasted he bought for 800k during the pandemic Well, I said , probably going back because of not having money ! No ! No ! The business owner told me in WhatsApp, it's not the money ,he has enough......he is " old & lonely !!! He came here to Pattaya he says and now is depressed , sits in his apartment all-day he can't meet a proper partner to love in Pattaya and he misses his weekly Bingo in Australia and his Lawn bowls He is old & lonely ! Your joking ! I exclaimed Your joking ! No ,said the business owner ,you can't imagine how many old guys I meet who come here full of beans only to get Lonilessness and go back !!! " I told him to go back ,said the business owner ," at least there he had friends & family and his bingo !!! And his lawn bowls ! Here he sits in a bar or bookshop all day ,he can't meet a real lady in Pattaya they all want to be paid " he just sat here all-day " said the business owner who had a bookshop cafe talking to everyone & anyone then went back to jomtien condo and cried Everyday was the same for him . He then goes on to tell me how old Reg invited a middle-aged lady he met at a laundry shop to dinner one night ,no sex apparently, Oh she's the one said Old Reg the next day at the cafe she embarrassed him by saying out loud " You not pay me for last night !!! You not pay me !!! Like she apparently wanted to be paid to go to dinner with him and she wasn't a working girl , So apparently so many Reg's ,it's fun for awhile isn't it ,moving to Thailand particularly Pattaya,then you find out there is no real friends,no family , No real love And in Reg's case no real social life
