When I was recently in Thailand I made some of my days going around Bangkok and Pattaya with my camera looking in 4&5 star hotels
I have been thinking lately I could be a great hotel manager and wondering if anyone WAS in this industry?
For anyone that WAS , how did you deal with bad guests and i was a nice lifestyle, wine women & song ?
I would love to be a hotel manager of a 5 star resort in Cambodia or Philippines
Do you have to start off in a 2 star first ?
What is the fantastic lifestyle like as a hotel manager?
looked at a few Condos in BKK last week
The agent called me last Friday at 4pm to come to an area called
Ramkhamhaeng 26
Lumpini Ville condos
Anyway please tell me what this area is like ?
I looked at the Condo 1.8 million they wanted
Its near a stadium and I could see the railway station from the Condo window
It's in a area which is busy road opposite a KFC .
It was dark outside
Anyone live near there
Lumpini Ville condos
Ramkhamhaeng 26
Why the 26?
It was dark all I could see was traffic and KFC
IS it a good investment?
Plenty of sixties for good sex
Is this the age group or points your rating ?
I know your nearly 80 and it's getting confusing for you but please explain?
You have to either acclimatise especially if your consideratiing retirement to Pattaya or find another place ,maybe Isaan area?
You won't adjust so just visit for the time bring until you get used to noise , motorbike, music etc
And the Australian taxpayer is paying for your government housing and free medical
Aren't you lucky you made the decision all those years ago to emigrate from Germany to the lucky country of Australia
"Don't mention the War now "
Dont mention the War !
Yes from the white skinned Aboriginal leaders of this "industry"
I was surprised to see most of the management at the Aboriginal affairs Department white skinned
This fine lil ol wisdom is coming from the man who had no idea there was farang doctor in Thailand,
oh Haimus to be sure to be sure ! 😁 Thanks for telling us Pop
Very interesting thread ,thankyou to the OP
I guess we all have our choices why we don't live in Thailand
Some go back to their home country for medical reasons eg free health care etc
Some just get bored at living in Thailand and doing nothing all day and prefer to visit a few times a year
Some still have family in their own country they can't leave it friends
Or belong to social groups
Some live in government supported housing and were they to give that up they won't get again
Oh there's no need for such negativity, migrants are needed , the UK must embrace cultural diversity and cultural enrichment something sadly Bday Prang or whatever ridiculous posting name is ,know nothing about sadly !!!
