    Sympathy isn't good enough.

And with the restrictive measures in place for a lot of businesses to open (many won't re-open), and the largest unemployment figures in decades, the number of poor people in Thailand will increase incredibly.

But do the government or the elite care ? I don't think so.

OK.  So we got the sympathy, now where's the Tea?

No, not THAT tea, T - Thaksin.

He'd sort out the poor people again!

    Hehehe

It's all a question of the speed...

Not necessarily.  I was recently going slowly around a corner on a roundabout when a Thai on a bigger bike roared inside me (I was already keeping left and turning left) and he clipped my frot wheel, tipping me over the front to the left.  Bone dry conditions.

I must have been doing 20kph max and was surprised to see the amount of gravel rash (as well as losing a big toe nail-ouch!).

Left forearm stripped from elbow to wrist, knuckles, both knees and all toes.

Yes, I was dumb enough to have popped out for a short run in my flip flops, shorts and t-shirt.

Just goes to show that you are never too old to learn!

    Flame away chaps!

the thai bashing gets a bit boring after time, don't you have better things to do like hit the p_iss or something. lol

Well now, apart from the fact that I did not post the article and was only referring to the road deaths, I am not sure what you mean!  Nor have I h ad adrink for quite some time!

I don't think that an accurate observation on the universally acknowledged issue of Thailand's <deleted> poor safety record and the PM's unwillingness to address is is really Thai bashing, is it?  If it is, then colour me sensible!

You are a little too sensitive.  I guess that's what paid shills are meant to do.

    Shills gotta shill I guess.

Interesting that you didn't deny the whole @rse residency part though!

Surety you have some pension income coming into Thailand. Why not use the combination method to make up for the withdrawn money and keep your personal retirement Visa. There is far less hassle with that than with a marriage Visa and you still have time to do it.

Are they even allowing the combination method nowadays?

Not sure what you mean by conversion.

To apply for an non-o visa if he was on a tourist visa or visa exempt he would only need to show 400k baht in the bank on day he applies.

To apply for one year extension he would need 400k baht in the bank for 2 months.

    Thanks Ubonjoe.

Solid, easy to follow advice as always

You surely must be one of most boring posters on TVF. Most guys living here are not hoping for bars to open to find wife. If your looking use dating app.

Personally I'm looking forward to places like Night train market open up. 90% Thai folk in the bars. Open air good food and very chilled. Maybe one arvo drop into stumble Inn Soi 4 for chill and maybe chat to random punter. Go Australia bar Soi 11 watch some sport.

I notice your posts every day and you lower the bar.

    Well said mate!!

  7. This is the Chinese model.

China sent tens of thousands of these characters into Africa.

IN Zambia, it became normal to hear of Chinese getting caught for burglaries and shoplifting/.  IN Zambia!!

Part of the deal with China was that China paid a certain amount per con (or ex-con) to be given the visa.

That money just disappeared into the president and his cronioes' pockets (of course).

The other thing was that China started sending really, really old people across, well past working age.

I am sure this is some sort of scam.

Massive backlash in Zambia now with Chinese being killed and businesses burnt.

He's very lucky. He could easily have broken his neck in that fall.

I'm pleased to see that his fellow officers did the right thing and did not try and move him.

I wonder what @Justgrazing found so funny about it.

He found it funny because karma is a bitch and it had all the makings of a Keystome Cops sketch!

    Get over yourself.

    Self righteous prig.
