  1. The tariffs are not "retaliatory" anymore that 3 minus 2 equals 1. It's just math. Thailand buys less from US in trade value than US buys from Thailand in trade value. Trump claims such simple trade relationship is "cheating" the US that is being paid for what it buys and sells to Thailand. Then if a nation does not immediately reciprocate Trump's tariff, he "retaliates" by raising his tariff based solely on what he feels personally to satisfy his ego. To date after 3 months I can't see that a single nation out of Trump's imaginary 200 nations has closed a trade deal to satisfy Trump.
  2. In addition consumers are losing their jobs, financial safety nets, and medical aide. When you add these loses to the 5% redistribution to the elow to average income maker there is a NET LOSS! But billionaires can buy another villa, yacht, Ferrari, a private island, etc.
  3. Example of global trade-America isn't the only market. On June 30, 2025, Canada did the unthinkable: it cut off its daily 8.8 billion cubic feet gas flow to the US, a supply once worth $8 billion a year, and instead Canada Cuts US Gas, and Trump Furious as Shipments Head to China, Japan, South Korea.
  4. That's a problem with Trump. There is only one outcome, Trump makes NO concessions, moves "the goal posts", and retaliates with childish name calling and denergate Canada's sovereignty (still calling for Canada to become part of the US).
  5. Does Trump know why he nominated O’Neill? Or did someone pass him a note to do so? Trump has acknowledged that he has been unaware of major administrative decisions made on his behalf.
  6. Which it is clearly not but more of Trump's imagination and feeling of self importance. Case in point Trump placed a 50% tariff on Brazil that has a trade "deficit" with the US instead of the US having a trade deficit with Brazil. Same with Singapore for which Trump placed a 25% tariff. When Trump was asked by reporters recent;y what was his logic for his latest round of international tariff increases, he replied basically because the tariffs were what he FELT they should be.
  7. President of the Senate of Cambodia - not Head of State Monineath is the fourth Monarch of Cambodia, thus Head of State. Thailand has no jurisdiction over a Cambodia's President of the Senate or Monarch any more than does Cambodia have jurisdiction over Thailand's President of the National Assembly or its Monarch. Thai police are acting very unaware what national sovereignty is as they seemingly attempt to protect Thailand's sovereignty.
  8. So he just starts walking away? No attempt at the ferry landing to see what he should do?
  9. Don't discount the Independent voters who have no issue crossing establishment political lines.
  10. "Thailand has claimed the title of the safest holiday destination in the world" ?
  11. Did a Brit finally get cocaine from Thailand through Immigration?
  12. Why not the ultimate: a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) that respects the sovereignty of both nations and requires arbitration versus Trump's erratic and illegal unilateral post-trade agreement intended to Make America Great Again through sovereign dominance? How in the world is a 36% tariff a win?
  13. Remember what Trump's trade war is about. Mostly it is where any nation is buying less in product value from the US than US is buying from foreign nations. Trump calls the difference in that situation a "trade deficient" that cheats the US economically. So what Trump expects is every nation that trades with the US will negotiate to buy more product value from the US than it is selling to the US. It is about the opposite of Trump's identified trade deficit wherein a nation is actually buying less from the US than selling to the US, ie., Singapore. Trump appears to be unaware (never mentioned by his senior trade advisors) that the value of trade includes BOTH product value and services value. Trump only focuses on product value. Essentially success with a trade deal with Trump requires essentially for a nation to concede its sovereignty to the US - to bypass a nation's laws and consumer protections. This consequence has been frequently referred to and opposed by Canada and a main issue with EU. Trump's does not want trade parity (zero net trade imports vs exports). The approach that Vietnam is taking amounts to suppressing its sovereignty by offering Trump private branding of land developments that Vietnam as a communist country would not otherwise allow, albeit Vietnam has little economy to afford a net loss in trade value of products between the US and Vietnam. Considering the above trade issues how can Thailand possibly meet Trump's trade demands (something short of what TACO man can be deceived)? Maybe by more and better trade deals with other large GDP countries.
  14. Incorrect. "Thai punters can go to casinos, with an entry fee of 5,000 baht and proof of at least 50 million baht in bank deposits ($1.47 million), effectively blocking large swathes of the population, where per capita gross domestic product is about $7,300." Thai cabinet approves draft law for casinos, with limits for local gamblers, March 27, 2025 https://www.reuters.com/
  15. Now Americans live in an era where it appears that criminals and insurrectionists are protected by the DOJ, and given pardons for their prosecuted crimes.
  16. If you residence more than 180 days you will become a tax resident Just a clarification, the 180 days in a year is in the "aggregate." It doesn't have to be sequential days.
  17. co-conspirator in crime she will be waiting in prison.
  18. Welcome to Thailand Where wealth distribution is highly uneven (worsened since the 2014 military coup) . "While about 0.1% of the population owns nearly half of the country's assets, a significant portion of the population lives in poverty. Specifically, it's estimated that the wealthiest 1% control 67% of the nation's wealth." (Google)
  19. Can the Thai government halt or cut funding to Buddhist wats and so-called merit making for street-begging monks? It might as fair then to serve the Public to redirect at least some government financial assistance to the homeless and starving people.
  20. With regard to the US - No. Thailand has been on the US watchlist for currency manipulation and that's all. Even when some countries met criteria for the manipulator label by the US, the US was unlikely to retaliate for trade reasons. Vietnam for example.
  21. I don't know his business/visa details but I've followed YouTuber Sanctioned Ivan who not long ago left Russia for Pattaya. Currently has about 80 thousand subscribers. email: sanctionedadverts[at]gmail.com

  23. 31 kilograms! That would be 31,000 grams. UK only allows 250 grams duty-free for tobacco. So it was a guarantee her luggage was going to be inspected based solely on her claim of possessing tobacco!
