  1. Come back to Thailand anytime, entry by an airport 30 days tourist visa, go to your Embassy here, and find out what you need to get the income verification for TH65000/month. If you cannot get it, go to a visa service office to find out how they can help you with the bank deposit if need it.

After all this resolved, start again with your NO visa and retirement extension process.

  2. Chiang Rai is very safe, more than Chiang Mai and most tourist spots in Thailand, and big cities like Bangkok. On Downtown, sometimes bad things happens, and it is not easy to become a local and not be mistaken for a tourist. That why I prefer to live a little out the city. In Chiang Rai it is easy to find nice countryside environments just 20 minutes away, like in Bandu, Mae Fah Luang, Mae Cham, in the way to sites where also its are large Chinese communities like Mae Salong and Mae Sai. Be free to message me if needs any more info about, or referrals in Chiang Rai.

I live in Bandu, and have business in Phayao, another nice and calm town, but without all the amenities and attractions you can find in Chiang Rai.

  3. Well I think he's on to something with filling the void I know a few blokes that have come to Thailand giving away the their kids and grand kids to live the good life but are sad that they are missing a relationship that they had with their parents and grandparents .

Also I find that they fall for the old bar talk rumours and get involved in dramas that has nothing to do with them but they spend so much time in bars they actually think they have some type of status and importance with girls and the bar but in reality they just want your money and when they finally realise that well then that's when the depression hits. Doesn't happen to all of them and some guys love to play the game but others sadly start falling in love and just lose the plot.

As for the girls I find most of them happy in their work well the ones I've talked over the years. Most already have a child somewhere and are doing their best to support them and their families. Starvation is a good aphrodisiac .

It is not starvation in Thailand.... just poverty and ignorance, but that alone is not justification for prostitution. Easy money is....and plenty of "clients". End the demand..end the "business"..

  4. Looks like similar situation I was into few years ago, with a variation. The principal of a school I was volunteering invite me to have dinner in his house. I do not drink, he and his attractive teacher wife did..a lot. He passed out, his wife rape me....and passed out too.

Thanks God....Thai alcohol is really strong. Next day, they didn't remember what happened....classes resumed like usual.

  5. This question will be better responded by your insurance agent, but I believe that if the other car didn't stop to wait for your insurance investigator or the police, and you didn't got the other car license plate, you will be blamed for the damages in your car. If the damage is very small, will be better for you to pay for the repairs. A damage that can you fix for 500thb, will be billed 5000thb if you use your insurance company, and will be in your records.

  6. Looks like this form is not mandatory in every immigration office, and probably only will take effect on the very busy ones, where new faces are showing every day, and more crimes are happening involving foreigners.

In smaller towns, most officers are very familiar with the local foreigners, and everything is easier and faster...even very pleasant.

  7. Cancer treatment with radiation and chemo therapy hasn't changed in 50 years and even when I was in university I thought this was primitive and not logical. Radiation causes cancer. We learned that in primary school. It may eradicate a target tumor but it will still cause new cancer. Chemo destroys the immune system. Not logical. With the hundreds of billions of dollars donated and spent on cancer cure and research what have the magnificent men in their white lab coats given us? Nothing.

"..........what have the magnificent men in their white lab coats given us? Nothing"

Wrong they have given many a chance for life! My cancer survivor (14 years now in remission) daughter may not have been alive today without chemo and radiation. She is able to enjoy her children and grand child.

Certainly it's not the ideal treatment but it is generally better than snake oil medicine or losing life to this insidious disease. One can only hope that these agencies come up with something better than a much touted Ebola cure!

Your daughter was very lucky..and you too to have her by your side and your gran kids. Research shows that, radiation, and chemo, may work...1 in 20 cases. Death people cannot tell its cancer journeys.

  8. Good communication is everything....if you do not speak the local language fluently...it is not the right place. But...if you cannot have better $$$$ choices Thailand is not bad at all, comparing with many other cheap destinations...

  9. Once in a while, when you least expect it, you will meet that one and your tongue will hit the ground.

TRUE.....even looking online. A friend of mine, new in town, old and poor, not good looking at all, on the very first day searching a dating online site, got a date with a recent divorced, very beautiful, a lot younger woman, western educated and millionaire....and are doing well.

Not the normal....but....ANYBODY may be very lucky sometimes.

  10. Will you like to rise your son in Canada?

If your answer is yes. Tell her that that is your ONLY interest, and you wants to take her and your son to Canada, and if she keep the child here you will not send any more money. You may have a surprise, and she may let you to take your son to Canada, free or not.

In Canada, with her, if any problem, you can get divorce and probably the court will give you your son. In last case, you can "buy" from her your son and your divorce. End of history...start of yours.

  11. My wife car was bought brand new for TH 630.000 exactly 3 years ago with 6 years financing.

Her monthly payment now is TH 8.000 and the balance is TH 305.000

The market value of the car now is about TH 400.000

She has excellent credit and job, and it is a homeowner.

She is looking in extend the term or refinance her debt up to 5 years to lower her payment.

We consulted with banks and car finance companies and they said that the only company can do that is the original lender.

The original lender is giving to my wife confusing information about how that can be done.

The original lender company name is ICBC phone 053-244933 , 053-244963 - 5 and 053-244911

I do not speak Thai and my wife is not speaking enough English to pass the exactly info to myself.

If somebody knows about this kind of transaction, or can give me a referral of a company or bank that can give me information, or can help me getting the right info, will be much appreciated. I live in Chiang Rai / Phayao area.

    Thank you

  12. The solution may be to buy from a small city dealership. Because the sale volume is small, they will do anything to please its clients. You may have to drive it to your place..but..a short vacation may be good too.

Here in Phayao had 2 seating on the show room....last week.
